Thought the ref in Liverpools game was a strange one.
He got all the big decisions right.
But he never gave us a thing second half clear fouls just ignored.
The foul on Dan’s was a joke.

We did ok but were undone in 10 mins in the first half
Top of the table so job done.

Just an observation.
The format robbed the PSV fans who paid their money from seeing the real Liverpool wonder how they feel about that.?
I think Liverpool Academy did pretty well against the top of the Dutch league

They dont half know how to complicate matters.

What was wrong with two blokes in grey suits pulling balls from a velvet bag, announcing the team names over the radio on a Monday lunchtime, to a group of small boys huddled over a transistor radio in the school canteen, with one of them furiously scribbling the teams down whilst telling the others to shut up.

That doesn’t allow them to fleece everyone for more money

Given the way I've just seen them celebrate the PSV goals, I would say that they couldn't care less.

What does it take to become a football agent?

My mind just somehow got onto thinking about that when thinking how well exactly Marcus Rashford has been represented by his brother.

I imagined a situation where you have a really young child who clearly looks to have potential to be a top footballer. I'm sure most friends and family would want and hope for the very best for them. But, there must be temptation for some around the kid to see him as a future cash cow, and an opportunity to make quite a handsome amount of cash themselves? I know his brother is the agent, but I don't know how many others are involved in representing Rashford? Are they qualified people, or have they come from within the friends / family circle, and all looking to make lots of money? My mind also goes back to the news of Paul Pogba's brother and others being found guilty of extorting Pogba.

I can see it all going well in the early years as Rashford's career develops, gets his first pro contract, sponsorship deals get better and better etc. They pulled a blinder for the Rashford brand with the whole school dinner thing, at a very sensitive time for the public. On the back of that and a very good season by Rashford in ETH's first season, they got a great contract (although there was a period of not great play between Covid and his good season).

Sadly for Rashford and his people, they have realised Brand Rashford only goes so far, and does not excuse a long period of awful play. But, are these representatives looking to prove they are earning their money, are they looking for ways to make even more cash? There appears to have some really awful advice given to Rashford over the last year. Then quickly announcing he wants a new challenge no sooner had Amorim walked in the door (which would have ironically been a new challenge). Do his people want a nice juicy contract at another club to help fill their pockets? If any of us were advising Marcus Rashford (and we have no money to make), would we have asked him to have an interview with a journalist to say he needs

I'm just wondering if Marcus Rashford is truly as bad / unprofessional people think, all off his own back? Or has he been strongly led and influenced by those around him since he was a young child, and he is now simply a product of that. Where he feels he must follow the advice of those around him, or feels a sense of duty towards them. Perhaps all he really ever wanted was to just play football, but has completely lost all love for it because of all the directions he is being pushed in by those around him? As fans, all we see is Marcus Rashford and so can only really judge him and his actions. But, maybe if all the people around him were just as visual in the public, we may have some harsh criticism of their actions?

So, in general, what does it truly take to become an agent? Because it does seem like a great opportunity for some people to exploit young kids to fill their own pockets (I guess a lot of highly paid industries are like that when youngsters are involved). Even agents come out and say there are good and bad agents (they are always the good ones, funny that)

With Arsenal bidding £60mil for Watkins and being turned down and then Duran looking like going to Saudi for £64mil - at the age of 21 would Arsenal not see it worth the extra £4mil for Duran

Incredible night at villa park, so many missed chances but still got the job done. Atmosphere off the scale and so proud of my football club.

UP THE VILLLLLAAAAAAAAAAA

P.s jog on Arsenal and Saudi..
Not good when it’s so late in the window.
