Can you tell me if every single red card tackle has been punished
Ever heard of subjectivity? I'll argue the point with people, but if they genuinely believe it should be a red, then that is their opinion. And, if fans just want automatic red cards for challenges that look nasty but actually never really posed a danger in the specific situation, then that is fine. Change the laws and just get refs to dish out red cards every single time. However, I'll take yours with a pinch of salt however, given the team involved, if you don't mind.

Every incident is not given a red card because the referee on the pitch did not think it was a red card. Because VAR didn't think is was a red card. If it was an absolute stone wall red card incident, then it would be continually plastered all over the news, especially as Martinez got the winner. If Martinez was such an offender, you'd think he'd get sent off at some point?

In the two alternatives I spoke off earlier, then I'd personally get the argument that it was dangerous and could warrant a red card. And, if he goes two footed into player's ankle in the future, I won't defend him if he gets sent off, just like I haven't defended other red cards Utd players have received this season.

But, as I said, I saw it as him planting his feet into the ground before Traore got there, to create as sturdy a barrier as possible when you have a train running at you. And, because both players were upright, even if he got there a bit late, I don't see there being much danger in him putting any perpendicular force into Traore's ankle anyway

It was a dangerous tackle that was outlawed about 10 years ago plus

Some how Martinez has managed to get away with a few now - the next one he will prob make the right connection onto someone and cause serious injury

It wasn't a tackle .................................. it was a block.

A few, are you sure or are you exaggerating just to make a point?

A lot of paragraphs

Jumped it to try and get the ball

With the referee being given death threats etc are these types of posts just adding fuel to the fire

Was the decision that bad ?

In all the games over the years there have been some horrendous decisions -

The Red card for the Arsenal wouldn’t even make any top 100 of “bad decisions”

So, why re-post it, why add fuel to that vey fire?

When you are jumping in the air with two feet together you are out of control of the tackle. You are at the mercy of momentum.
It's completely unnecessary, excessive force and down right dangerous.

If competing for a 50/50 ball. Put one foot in. Not two.

It's fairly simple for me.

Honestly, is there any reason why you are showing the exact same video that has already been posted on this thread? Do you somehow think this is new evidence to your argument simply because you have freshly posted it? Or, are you literally trying to start us going round the circle again?

If anyone was to appreciate a few paragraphs in a discussion, I thought it would be you. After all, you give us plenty of your own, in between posting still photo's from twitter and the odd opinion by other people when it matches your own.

it is Very simple 👍

Jumping with two feet was something that Gerrard did early on is his career - got lucky to get away with it a few times but was right sent off as well

It’s rare these days as well you see it happen

Just read that David Coote has come out as gay, and that was one of his primary excuse's for being on cocaine, as he struggled to hide his sexuality.

Given that losing his job meant he'd no longer be in the public eye, it seems odd for him to come out to The Sun now.

The sceptic in me thinks there is a chance he feels it's his only opportunity to potentially resurrect his career. Have some pressure the PGMOL into giving him another chance, as they should be seen supporting gay referees and helping them through the struggles they face.

Mind you, he has probably ruined any chance he had in getting a job in Saudi Arabia.

Personally think that making his sexuality part of the issue was a really bad move by Coote. It's a cynical move to try and make people feel more sympathy for him and I think it will backfire.

Kevin Spacey tried the same tactic when speaking about the sexual abuse cases against him. He officially "came out" in an attempt to gain sympathy and deflect from his crimes. It didn't work.

(I am obviously not claiming that what Coote did is as bad as Spacey's crimes, before anyone tries to suggest otherwise! :ROFLMAO: )
