If I was Garnacho trudging off having been substituted, I would be asking what Rashford has to do to get hooked before me. I don’t blame him if he’s feeling a tad miffed.

I'm guessing ETH is taking off

The only mitigation I can think off is he is taking him off, to keep him fresher for midweek game.

Because based on performance, Rashford has been horrible.

What’s your view on the penalty shouts LT? All three of them? Just interested, that’s all.

My own personal view - first would have been soft if given. Second and third stonewall.

Are you of the view the decisions were all correct? Or do you think you got the rub of the green today, as far as those decisions were concerned?

(Again, just interested in an Everton fans view on them. Not looking to start beef!)
I didn't think the handball was a penalty. It was too close to him for Young to be able to react and whilst his arm wasn't rigidly by his side I don't think it was out enough to be unnatural.

The one where he got the ball / kicked the attacker, I only saw it once and that wasn't clear enough to see what actually happened. If he did kick the player, it's a penalty. If he got the ball, not. I know that's obvious but it's how it is. I'd have to see it again in slow mo but really it should be a clear one I'd have thought, or did he get ball and player at the same time?

I can't remember the other incident, I'm a bit punchy with the tension of the day 😬.

Incidentally, Young is a real liability for us. I shudder when I see his name on the teamsheet. The incident above is classic Young, clumsy and getting in situations he shouldn't.

Surprise for me today is that you didn't really get at us with your pace. Maybe Dyche set us up to deal with that and I should be giving him credit. When I see Forest play we'll it's when your front players run at pace, midfielders joining in. That didn't really happen today.

One thing in all of this, how different if Pickford hadn't pulled off the point blank save from Wood?

As another Everton Fan:

First one he went down too easy with a slight delay and theatrical, not a pen for me.

Second one, thought at the time it was a pen, as I said previously, half time chat confused it though, they said VAR made a statement his arm was in a natural position, which they disagreed with in the studio, but said they could of agreed if they’d of said he was too close.😵‍💫

Third I didn’t think was a penalty until the replay as he didn’t get the ball, don’t blame the on field Ref, VAR should of sent him to the monitor.

I know you’ve only had 1 pen all season, we’ve had 2 and thought we’d had been on the end of some dodgy decisions this season, but 2 possibly 3 in one game is taking the michael.

@Don Barzini what did you think of your keeper today? I thought he was weak on both goals. In old parlance, he went down like a sack of spuds on each occasion. A PL keeper should be getting those, imo.

I see from Paul's post above that the third one should have been a penalty. I still haven't seen it again but happy to accept that. I don't blame the ref for not giving it, hard one to make a decision on with the naked eye.

how is it that the commentary team know that the penalty is confirmed by VAR but it takes a further 20 seconds for the referee to confirm?
They can hear the communication between the ref and the var team.

I guess the decision is effectively made and then the next 10-20 seconds is the ref and var double confirming what has been agreed.
