Apparently you're not allowed to enjoy the moment now.
It was a massive victory, ok they might not win the league, but they have a better chance than they did at the start of the day.
They would of been completely out of it with a defeat.

The parade is booked for tomorrow 😉😁

It was a big win for Arsenal , defeat and they were out of it but there is a long way to go and some big games to go , the celebrations were a little ott and maybe got a little carried away but that happens

If VVD isn’t going to play the ball he needs to stop in front of the striker, not run into Alison’s line of sight.

Modern defenders just don’t know where row Z is.

Even if the keeper shouted he should just hoof that.imo.
I dunno....if you watch any of the AFCON matches you will see that defenders are very well aware of where row Z is.....even if it means a big hoof straight over their own crossbar into row Z!!! :ROFLMAO:

I'm not sure one is possible without the other in that timescale 😄. How many are you up to at this stage?

My dad used to be involved in football and my sister would often go with him to games, I did at first but then started playing club sport. She got up to 60 odd in the end, good going in itself. Depending where you are, it's the outliers that become the tricky ones. Exeter, Plymouth, carlisle, Ipswich, Brighton etc can all be big trips. If you have mates to do it with you, sounds a lot of fun.

I got up to 50 odd a few years ago but a lot of the grounds have been replaced. At the moment I'm on 38 but will tick another one off this week! The only bonus of getting relegated is a lot of new grounds to visit. I've got friends who support other teams so will tag along to some of the away days with them. I also like the idea of picking some big fixtures and local derbies to get grounds done when I've got no connection to the teams.

Impressive going your sister getting up to 60. What era was that? Funnily enough I've not been to many of the grounds you listed there. Did Brighton's old ground but haven't had the pleasure of the Amex.

Since I put the boot into him he's scored in 4 games in a row. Anyone else you'd like me to have a pop at? :ROFLMAO:

I've already had a pop at two of them, bit of a Rashford fan so no can do 👀

I'd love rashford in our team. Yes he isn't perfect but he could play either down our problem left or up top with Bowen and kudus either side

Would be great for us imo

It was the 80's, all pre sexy new builds. Loads of grounds land locked by terraces 😍. Predominantly north of England but they also ticked off the Midlands and a good number of southern grounds.

I mentioned those grounds as they are the edges of distance and so will be tricky for most, unless you actually happen to live in those areas of course 😄. Anyone in the south can add carlisle to the list.

I suspect there are online groups dedicated to this, giving advice etc. Worth looking at for tips. A very worthy quest 👍

Is anyone on here a member of the 92 Club? Decided to set myself a target of completing all the grounds in the next 4 years without it becoming an obsession!

I'm on my way through, no set time scale to it though!

Currently on 49, its the league 1 and 2 grounds that have slowed me down but I will get there eventually.

Annoyingly also need Luton and getting my away ticket there is very hard despite my away booking history being in the best category!

Tbf, that's totally believable... :ROFLMAO:
Given his intransigence to move away from the old guard of course it's believable. We will let another batch of good young players slip through our hands without them ever playing as often as they should for England and in big competitions. If they do get thrown in they'll be untried and thrown to the wolves if they don't perform as some fans and the press want

Sorry if this was mentioned already but it's unbelievable if true. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Surely Newcastle V Luton would be a top game for the England manager to watch??? I'm sure there are many candidates I'm not thinking off, but a great chance to watch Anthony Gordon, who should at least be on the fringes. But also Ross Barkley. I'm sure Barkley doesn't have much of a chance due to the quality England has in those creative central midfield positions. But I honestly think Barkley is up there as one of the players of the season. Every time I watch Luton, he is like gold, and the key to all their good attacking moments. So if England get injuries to one or 2 key players in that position, he could surely be in with a shout?

Whereas Henderson, what on earth is the point? What is he going to learn about a 33 year old playing in a team he is only just come into, thus learning how to fit in with his new team mates and vice versa? And besides, what does it matter, as we all know Henderson is a 100% certainty to get picked. Maybe Southgate simply went over there to socialise with him, as he loves his banter, and Henderson invited him along to the game as a mate.

Yeah, I don't see the problems with big celebrations, as it is raw emotion. It isn't like players plan out how they'll celebrate before the game, and activate that plan after the game. So players / teams will celebrate according to where they are and what experiences they have. If you are a team that is used to winning big games and trophies, your celebrations will be there when beating other big teams, but probably somewhat diluted as you are used to it. If you are Arsenal who are close, but not used to getting over the line and winning trophies, then big results like this are so much more instantly pleasurable.

Besides, if you have a manager like Arteta who seems to be a bit of an emotional wreck (in the Klopp category on that one), it isn't surprising that he celebrated like he'd just won the World Cup.

I wonder if Longstaff is ever considered as well. Seems to do well for Newcastle but is never mentioned in the England frame.

Barkley I never rated that much. Has talent but seemed to have a lot of poor decision-making at times. I don't think it's coincidence that he looks good as a big fish in a smaller pond but disappeared at a higher level - he's that sort of player.

I genuinely believe you're right, Southgate and Henderson are just pals at this point. It's the only explanation really.

Ah the weekly Henderson moan , it’s almost as if people ignore what’s happened over the last 2 years

It’s very clear that Southgate wants him in his squad for the Euros - not sure why people keep on being surprised by it

And Southgate will have someone watching most of the games every week now and he wlll go around the grounds

But it’s best to prepare yourself now - Henderson and Phillips will be in the squad unless either is injured

Arsenal always seem to get hit with this 'over-celebrating' tag don't they? Maybe they have been guilty of it in the past, but if you've just beaten the team that's top of the league I say you're fine to celebrate that. If you can't celebrate beating top of the league then what's the point of playing?
