Unless Haaland or maybe Foden come on, who is going to score for them. All that possession in 1st half, and it doesn't look like any of their players will ever score. Whereas Newcastle look a threat when they attack

I'll await City to score 5 now

Nailed on rice to score the winner 😄

Not sure what end...

Being at the game tonight was a throwback, an inept referee but to balance it there was no VAR, no silly yellows for taking 16seconds to take a goal kick and none of that linesmen letting play on they waving the flag 20secs later.

Football without VAR is so much better.

Nah. Still awful football to watch from what I saw :ROFLMAO:

Not as awful as watching the absolute horror show of us last night though.
And you have to endure a wet t-shirt contest every home game as well.

Castore have had some serious problems over the last few years, I'm not sure why anyone still uses them. They must be cheap.

It was entertaining watching the scores appear on the BBC sports website :ROFLMAO: . Hey, we have to take what we can get and the confidence boost of another 2 goals and a win is worth a lot right now. Pretty stuff can follow, hopefully.

@Orikoru Castore are actually pretty expensive, it is their thing. If you look at their background, where else they supply, they are supposed to be quite high end. They have clearly got this very wrong though.

I have a few pieces of Castore clothing (bought in sales!) and they're all pretty good, but they've had no end of problems with the professional teams they've provided for. Maybe they've overreached on that.

Article on the Beeb sports page re Ten Haag saying the workload is too intense for the players as injuries mount. Other managers have expressed similar concerns. There are 112 players across the Prem clubs out injured.

6 league matches played + internationals + pre-season. There’s certainly more international matches than there used to be but are the top teams over committing their players to pre-season tournaments/matches?

But too many matches already? Not sure I agree with that to be honest.

I read that. To know if the 112 number is significant you need to know how it compares to previous seasons.

I also think it is up to the manager to manage rotation and for the club to think about pre season and also mid season exhibition games, kerching............

This for me is the key. They've got a squad of 25 (?) players to pick from. Would be interested to see how much rotation there's been especially from the bigger clubs that have much deeper squads in terms of quality than those in the bottom half. Does seem strange to have so many injuries so early in the season. Could the added time at the end of matches be having an impact? Players now playing 100+ minutes rather than previously when it was always a minute added at the end of the first half and 2 or 3 minutes added at the end of the second half. Now they're getting 5 minutes in the first half and 8 to 10 minutes added at the end of the second. Would this be enough added stress on professional athletes to cause injuries?
