Just read this

As such, and following Chelsea’s signing of Romeo Lavia, Manchester City have now earned a guaranteed £50.3 million from the sale of academy players this summer – setting a new club record and exceeding the £46.5 million they generated last summer.

Plus
Taylor Harwood-Bellis is valued at around £15 million by the Premier League champions and is commanding widespread interest from across the Premier League following a hugely successful spell on-loan at Burnley last season.
Apparently Forest are interested in him.

I wasn’t so much doom
And gloom. It was more Arsenal were purring. They were very good on the eye. Odegard was on fire. However. They fell like a deck of cards at the business end of the season.
Re last season when you look at Utd, Liverpool, spurs, Chelsea. At times they were shocking. City not far behind. Apparently the turning point for City last season was the draw v Forest. The players got together and had strong words.
I guess it is one occasion where Gary Neville can rub his hands and said I told you so (albeit reluctantly as I'm sure he didn't want City to win the title). He stuck to his guns about Arsenal not having proved they could win the title, and that he wasn't convinced they would even later into the season before their collapse.

There is probably a lot to be said about the advantage of that winning mentality, and how that can go into overdrive once a team somehow crosses that first hurdle of winning for the first time. Not just for that team, but how opponents even play against you. Play against City, and a team knows they are up against a juggernaut who have won recent titles. Play against Arsenal, and maybe some teams play with a bit more confidence, knowing Arsenal haven't proved themselves yet and they may get nervous if things don't quite go their way.

Not sure who said it ( it was a Utd player) could be Rio. But they said the mental block of now knowing you have done for the first time, it is massive. To be honest it’s not something I related to at the time.

I do wonder how much Arteta affected the players down the stretch. His anxiety at every match was palpable and grew - must have impacted the players too.

He needs to know how to keep a lid on his emotions - for some of the time at least. Carrying on at the pre-season friendly was bizarre.

Yes Pep can get over exuberant :-) but it's not at every single tiny incident.

You could be right. And, if Arteta's antics have negatively impacted on his players, it is no wonder Liverpool were rubbish last year. Looks like they have a manager that fewer players want to play for anymore. Poch on the other hand... :)

Picking up on Amanda’s point. I know it’s all hypothetical but if this years rules re Managers had been in force. He may Well of had a few yellows and had to tone it down a bit. Might of helped his team a bit.

Really don't see how he can't play Sunday, considering Tovey was found known about for almost a year before they did something about it.

Should be good for the season

Not like city to worry about sanctions

Ask him if he likes your Crocs.
Ave got Rid of them. Talking to two guys from Leeds. On their way home from Oz. Gonna tap one of um
Up. He is taking back to Leeds some Aussie Pearls. He has been working on a pearl Boat for a year. They will Be wasted in Yorkshire Yorkshire Yorkshire.
One would look nice round Missis Ts neck on a shoe lace. 👍

@Liverpoolphil

“Liverpool sign Endo from Stuggart for £16m.”

Any good?

Being honest - no idea 🤷‍♂️

All the German “experts” say he is pretty decent and a very good signing , was their best player and they aren’t happy about him going.

The obligatory highlight videos show a player who is constantly on the go and harassing the oppo

Seems like he is filling that gap left by Milner/Henderson
