They havnt up to now.
I can’t see anything changing tbh.
They will always buckle to money.
Hopefully it’s the reason why they went to the independent panel - it’s also removed the ability to go to CAS as well , plus the Premier League aren’t restricted by the same constraints as UEFA

Not so sure.
just because they don’t have the same restrictions dosnt mean they won’t come to the same conclusion.

Let’s just hope they grow a pair and do something about it.
Not just fine them and cop out.

Cracking opening goal by James. England looking much sharper.
Nice tidy finish that was. Someone's put it on the TV in my office and I can just about see the screen from my desk. :D

Looks like another England player's World Cup has been ended by a knee injury, Keira Walsh
Didn't see the incident but looked like a bad one, obviously never good if the stretcher is out.

UEFA came to the conclusion that they were guilty

But was over turned by CAS because of time bared etc

Football has a number of ways it can move forward

Bring in tighter financial restrictions- spending caped and wages caped , reduce debt , reduce billionaires spending etc or it can go open season

A lot started to go to more non league games etc but even Wrexham made that a bit of mockery as well.

There's a lot of research going on as to why. I recall when I ran a lot there was much talk about Q Angle for women and the need for different cushioning and stability in running shoes. Might be the same with football boots perhaps? Not sure if the female versions are just shorter, narrower men's ones...

The top English players must get custom made boots by now, same as the men surely? I'd be surprised if they're still popping down to Sports Direct for them.

Would it just be a strength issue? When I've had knee problems, one of the key things the physio has got me working on is building up the muscle strength around my knee. Maybe men generally get away with bad injuries more often because although they may put similar forces through their knee after an awkward movement, they've just enough strength around the knee to protect the ligament?

I'm sure there are a few reasons, such as biomechanical differences between the sexes. Therefore, you may be right that more research needs to be done into female football boots. No idea how far that research has gone, but cushioning, stability and even stud placement may all need to be slightly different that what would be considered optimal for the general man?

Just a stretch and she caught her knee in the turf.
They are usually bad.
the turf looks very dry as James went to slide on her knees she went head over after her goal.
Players need to stop doing this they can hurt themselves.
Its not great for the pitch either, we repair these gouges every week.

In my humble opinion.
The pitches have an impact.
we were on Elland road recently and it’s like concrete. It’s why they are constantly watered.
They train on plastic pitches. It must take its toll.

Do you remember a Nigerian left wing back named Celestine Babayaro? Former Chelsea player. He used to celebrate a goal by doing multiple cartwheels and backflip. Supposedly he once did this in a friendly, got it wrong and broke a bone in his leg!

Certainly there are rugby players with knee issues that no longer play matches on plastic pitches.

From what I've managed to google not many manufacturers do much different for a female specific boot than reduce the size so it's easier to buy the right one! In other words a men's 8 is equivalent to a women's 7 so they just brand it women's buy annotating the size differently. Adidas have a different sole and stud pattern/type but that's about it.

Oh and yes I imagine stronger quads in particular protect the knee joint. I'm sure the women must work on this but genetic limitations could be a factor.

Do female players train on different pitches than male footballers, generally?
Maybe .
but a non league pitch we looked after was dug up and resurfaced with plastic because a premier league ladies team were playing on it, boys playing reserve team.
plus the clubs own teams and training.
grass just can’t cope with 4 games a week.
