I agree with your comments re Maguire. I don’t rate McTominay at all. Too many late tackles, niggling fouls and too slow. I’ve not seen him have a decent game for Utd. Half decent at times but goes missing far too often. Championship standard at best.
I'm with you on McT. Just seems to compensate for a lack of ability by being deeply unpleasant.
Maguire I'm a bit torn on. Obviously he's paid too much (would he take a cut?), but West Ham might suit him. Moyes requires very little of his centre halves beyond the basics. No fancy playing it out from the back nonsense. A few set piece headers would be welcome and could make the difference between staying up or not.

Both would be quality signings for them IMO. Maguire gets a lot of unfair flak, he didn’t pick his transfer fee and whilst he’s probably not United standard I think his lack of form has been exaggerated by the lack of consistency in our defence. Likewise I think McTominay is a decent player, look at his Scotland performances. They’d both do well at a club by West Ham where the pressure would be off a little and they’d actually be wanted.
My opinion on Maguire - he's a good old-school centre back. He went to United, for that fee, and felt like he had to try and play like John Stones, when it's not his game to be a modern ball-playing centre back so he looked all at sea half the time. When he moves on and stops trying to play like that - just focus on making blocks, tackles, headers and clearances - I think he'll be really good again. Would be an incredible signing for West Ham for sure. I'd even take him at Spurs, given that we're currently playing Ben Davies at centre back in a friendly right now.

If McTominay is worth £45m then Ryan Yates is worth at least £50m. Awful valuation.

But that's the market now. People don't seem to get that 45 mil players are the former 23 million players

For example we bought Ashton all those years ago 7 mil from Norwich

These days you would be looking at 25-30 for someone like that (as we saw with Bowen)

Just the way of the world.

And the first action of Jordan Henderson's new club was to photoshop out the his rainbow armband in the clips used to announce his signing.
We can only hope at this point that he has a grand plan to 'smash the system from within' by making a huge statement while at a Saudi club. Rather than he just brushed all his morals under the carpet.

Heard that in the office this week. Liverpoool fan (his grandad is scouse of course). Reckons he will use all the extra to support lgbtqrstuvwxwz…….

I wouldn't be surprised if his contract prevents him in doing a lot of things related to human rights. The Saudi Arabians would be pretty embarrassed if they signed him for £700,000 per week, and then he started wearing rainbow laces at matches, or appeared in advertising campaigns supporting human rights and speaking out against regimes like Saudi Arabia.

The rise and fall of spurs is quite something

Years in arsenals shadow, over took them, had England's captain as their super star

Some great football, constant champs league. Got to a final

Sold their dross for huge money

Now they have had a poor couple years

Kane looks off

And their owners a crook

Only allegedly a crook 😂 if you look in to the background of Joe Lewis and see what he’s involved with in Patagonia it’s a bit of an eye opener.

True.. needs proving .. much like those fires in north London when Tennant's wouldn't sell their businesses for the stadium

Allegedly
