Looks like Gary Neville will be a new Dragon for the next season of Dragon's Den.

Not sure if that means he'll be a permanent fixture over the season, or they are mixing the format up a bit, as the current Dragons appear to still be in the line up.

Is Kane off to Bayern?
Surely it’s time for him to leave,
& could Spurs fans really hold it against him?

Firmino looks like the latest one chasing the Saudi money & is rumoured to be joining the same team as Mendy.

I still can't see him leaving England without Shearer's record. I actually reckon he will see out his contract and potentially move for free in a year.

This is exactly what I’d do if I was Kane. Stay a year, move for free (and get a hefty signing bonus) and sign wherever you want next year.

Only down side is that any club that needs a striker badly may sign one this year. Can see him wearing a United shirt one day.

Talksport bosses must be absolutely loving the drivel she comes out with. Seen it plastered all over twitter and elsewhere, if their presenters talked sense nobody would call in

It's not even the stupidest thing she's ever said, remember during covid and she couldn't understand why people thought it wasn't a good idea to charge £14.95 per game on tv?

There was one where she got her maths completely wrong and suggested someone was scoring nearly a goal a game

I remember that, she got slated. It was like 19 goals in 40 games or something.
The quote regarding Richarlison:

"He's got a great record, 19 goals in 40 appearances. You know, do the maths on that, it's one goal a game, pretty much"

To be fair, Weghorst scored 0 goals in 17 league appearances for Man Utd. Do the maths on that, it is a goal every 2 or 3 games, pretty much. Not as bad as people make out...

She obviously meant to say 1 in 2 to be fair. The thing is, if say Ian Wright had said that, Shearer would have called him on it and taken the mick right there and then - Aluko wasn't helped by the others in the studio just letting it hang there.

That is a pretty big assumption, and I think you are being very generous there. At no point did it feel like she simply got her tongue twisted, she very confidently said it was a goal a game.

You are right about not being called out on it. The other pundits were Souness and Keane. If Neville or Carragher had said it, they would have been ridiculed with some hilarity. In this case, they don't have the same personal relationship with Aluko, so that was one barrier to stop them from doing that. They may not be aware how Aluko would take the banter, but if it took her off guard, and she looked a little embarrassed about it, then you've got the political correctness accusations ready to be made, and use it to bash 2 middle aged white men (just look at the reaction Souness got after daring to refer to a game as a "man's game", even though it was clear he wasn't implying it wasn't for women).

Had Jill Scott said it, perhaps they'd be a bit more comfortable in calling her out, as she seems the sort of person who enjoys a bit of friendly mick taking. And if Carragher or Neville had said it, they would have been slated by the others with much hilarity.

I guess it is a good example of showing where the chemistry between pundits in a studio can be very important, not just their level of knowledge on the game. Sky have had it pretty good over last few years, and even had spin offs onto programs like the Overlap. Been watching the Overlap on Tour the last few Wednesday nights (Keane, Neville, Carragher mainly), and I've really enjoyed it for its comedy value.

Wasn't really defending her, it was an amusing cock-up, but we've all misspoken before. I assumed she was thinking 'a goal every other game' but it came out as 'a goal a game'. Unless you think she genuinely thinks 19 comes immediately before 40 in numbers? I'm not sure anyone is THAT thick.

Yeah - a fuss was made about how much abuse she got online - but no fuss about how she was let off the hook in the studio at the time. Maybe if they'd have called her on it, the subsequent online abuse would have been lessened? Who knows.

Agree with you - the punditry is generally better when the pundits get on. Shearer, Wright & Lineker for example, Keane, Carragher & Neville as you say. And Micah Richards interchangeably with those two groups, funnily enough.
