Turkeys voting for Christmas immediately springs to mind. Won’t happen.

I’m not too sure , devil in the detail

They will look at something because a lot of the clubs won’t be happy with the growing monopoly at the top. Players can already earn a significant amount more in the Prem bar going to the likes of PSG

But then UEFA are already bringing in a salary cap for all the clubs competing in their comps - maximum of 70% of income can be spent on wages.

Something needs to be done to curb the level of money in the game

Won’t happen 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yep, and they will pair him with Haarland in a year or 2 as well.
The odd thing is that PSG want Mbappe to go as they don’t want him to go on a free. They also want Bernado. Could there be a swop deal. I personally don’t think so but do Madrid the money for Bellingham and Mbappe. Am sure they do.

It’s just Levy. Whenever I read an article or listen to anyone with any knowledge speak the theme is consistent - he’s just belligerent.
What I don’t understand is Levy saying he will not sell to a premier league competitor. He finished 15 points behind Utd. So they are hardly a close competitor. Yet he is looking at a keeper from a club that finished one point behind Spurs. Will they sell to a competitor. Seems Levy is an expert in double standards.

I’m sure they’ll find it.
Was always destined to be his next move.

One thing re the players being mercinaries. They are, but they’re not the only ones. When you see clubs in the Middle East paying millions of pounds for high profile players without players even asking. Who is to blame. Big up respect to Messi not taking the money route. But again the system is set up in The USA with companies ( adidas / Apple) waving the Yankee dollar to pay massive sums.

Hope Messi has thought it through & his family don’t go hungry 😬

You're probably wrong on the money route, he will be getting paid an absolute bomb, maybe just from different deals / agreements.
But will probably work out the same or more as going to the Middle East, these boys don't short change themselves.
I'm just guessing though at the end of the day.

There is only one club he can and will go to

Madrid - the fee will prob be around £100mil which will be ok for most clubs in Prem who he could go to but Madrid will prob pay him close to £1mil wages a month which because of Taxes etc an English club can’t match

Plenty of Prem League clubs could afford that wage, it's only £250,000 a week.
Plenty of players already on more than that.

50 or 100 million doesn't buy you a replacement for Kane anyway so might as well have him in the team for one more year. If by some miracle we won the FA Cup then maybe he'd stay and retire here. You never know. But sell him now for 50 million and you have 50 million and no Kane. What's the point?

I think Levy for all his faults wants CL football and Spurs to be contending for trophies.
That’s why I don’t think he will want to sell Kane , he will know the time has past to get £100m for Kane , so he would be more value to the club for one more season to see if we can achieve more under the new manager next season.

Course they do. They’ll just sell another car park worth about €500k to the “council” for €250m for “development”.

People get on Barca’s back but Madrid are the dodgiest club in Europe by far. Bailed out by the crown more times that I can count.

That’s why I chucked in the apple/ adidas bit, they have chucked money at Messi too Continue to be associated with him.

What's him leaving this season worth to them? They have no European football to worry about so they will be eyeing top 4

What's worth more to the team , top 4 or ,50 million?

They’re not getting top 4 though mate 😂 even with him. Better to sell and rebuild surely? Like they did with Bale.

They wasted the majority of that tho

That’s because they’re run by a businessman rather than a football brain.

Do you really think they win anything next year or make top 4? If not, keeping him and him leaving for free is just stupid.

He could of course sign a new deal though 😂

If they keep him they have every chance of top 4 because everyone around them will be in Europe with more games

This year we have Europa again however everyone else in the league up the top (not that we will) Brighton, villa, Newcastle will have Europe recovering games

Takes getting used to for sure

Don't forget though that Madrid et al pay that figure and its after tax, we pay our players before tax...so the player pays the tax in the UK, and the club do in Spain...and plenty of other countries;)
