Not up for sale, as such. He’s written to PSG and told them he won’t be extending his contract when it expires next summer. Apparently, when he signed a new two year deal last summer the option to extend for a further year was bizarrely his rather than the club’s.

Some observers are already suggesting he is using this as a ploy to secure a new deal on his terms.

Interesting to see how it pans out but, if he does leave for a fee this summer, Real can surely be the only destination.
Isn't this because he had PSG in the palm of his hands. He was pretty much on his way to Madrid, and then PSG begged him to stay. I think they offered him £1 million a week, £156 million signing on bonus and a £61 million loyalty bonus every season he stays, increasing by £8.6 million per season. Given that his heart was set on going to Real Madrid, then presumably he wanted the option to leave after 2 years without PSG getting in his way?

I read and understood it was PSG looking at leaving the super galactico's and bringing through more younger less expensive players and PSG not wanting him to walk on a free when his contract is up.

I’m sure they won’t want him walking for free. He’s one of the biggest assets in the game.

This is why I don't get why Spurs just don't sell Kane for 50m... they want 100 with a year left - Never getting it surely!
I think they probably would get that now - 30ish goals a season playing in that side speaks for itself!

What I don't get is that they would rather risk him going on a free next year than selling to another prem club in this window.

I don’t get the not selling to another prem club.
yes he could score against them in the future.
but if a prem team dosnt buy him they will buy someone of similar quality who can score against them.
unless there is another reason I’m missing.

What's him leaving this season worth to them? They have no European football to worry about so they will be eyeing top 4

What's worth more to the team , top 4 or ,50 million?

It’s just Levy. Whenever I read an article or listen to anyone with any knowledge speak the theme is consistent - he’s just belligerent.

50 or 100 million doesn't buy you a replacement for Kane anyway so might as well have him in the team for one more year. If by some miracle we won the FA Cup then maybe he'd stay and retire here. You never know. But sell him now for 50 million and you have 50 million and no Kane. What's the point?

The Salary genie is well and truly out of the bottle in football now and players are almost mercenary in the quest for more money. So they would just go elsewhere, prestige and elite competition only entice so far.

Option A: £75k a week and CL football at Arsenal or Option B: £100k a week and CL football at, lets say, Galatasaray...

*Clubs and salary caps are made up for the purposes of this post only.

Not a chance of it happening.
5/6 clubs at most would probably vote in favour of it.
The top teams want to attract the top players, the mid table teams want to feel secure in the league 🤷‍♂️
