A quick Google suggests this is his 11th managerial position in 13 years 😳. Not one for the long haul then 😄.

Strange choice, no experience of English football in any way and straight into a relegation fight (possibly)
It's an interim appointment until the end of the season. Which suggests to me they want to go for Pochettino.

Don't know anything about Tudor's managerial career. Don't even know if he speaks English. Seems a bit of a Hail Mary but here we are.

I get it's interim but it's a heck of an odd one. Maybe his agent also works for your SD or equivalent 🤷🏻.

Apparently he's kept a couple of teams up in Serie A before. So he's effectively 'Sam Allardici'
Surely they might as well have hired Allardyce as an interim then? :)

11 clubs in 13 years, sacked in October after 8 games without a win at Juve. I've no doubt the Spurs board know a hell of a lot more than me, given I've never heard of the guy before. Perhaps he impressed them when Spurs beat his Marseille team in 2022/23, meaning Marseille finished bottom of the group?

A month or so ago, the relegation battle looked like it would be pretty dull. Now it looks like it might get quite exciting.

Seriously what are Spurs doing? While I don't think they're in a relegation battle at the moment, appointing someone with zero experience of the English game when they're on a really bad run doesn't seem a very smart move...
Two points ahead of Forest, 5 ahead of West Ham, and their next fixtures Arsenal (h), Fulham (a), Palace (h), Liverpool (a), Forest (h), Sunderand (a)

Those two games against Fulham and Palace look like they could be absolutely massive. Do poorly in them, and expect to lose against Arsenal and Liverpool, the Forest game could be a must watch. Mind you, West Ham look like they could have a tough run in the next 5 or 6 games, so they will really need to try and win their next game, home to Bournemouth, before going to Anfield, away at Fulham, home to Man City and away to Villa.

AFTV reasons why they didn’t win last night

1. They didn’t sleep in the same beds they normally do
2. They had to travel by coach
3. The grass was grown a little longer
4. The grass was watered

Guess it’s not at the level of the queen passing away

😂

Has any team ever won the CL and been relegated in the same season?! If not that would seem a very Spursy thing to happen 👀

It would be funny if they got sucked into the relegation battle anyway. I keep expecting Leeds to go on a bad run but they're doing just enough to keep a gap. Reckon it'll be between Forest and West Ham with Leeds a potential latecomer if they get a few injuries.

I asked exactly the same thing in my WhatsApp group last week, one person is a Spurs fan.

He got very annoyed when I mentioned their new manager today, he asked "what were you expecting, for us to go and get Pep". My response was "No, I just thought you might get someone in between Pep and Mr Bean". Maybe the new guy will be amazing, but at this stage, is seems very strange.
