Well now they’ve put a 2nd cross in the box and her for on the end of that as well narrowly missing. Makes you think Hjolund and him both in sides that needed a Striker but don’t play football that allows them to flourish.
Seems to happen surprisingly often. Buy a striker, don't play to their strengths. Square peg, round hole etc. With the amount of video clips, scouts on the ground etc, it really shouldn't happen. Particularly not when you are paying large amounts, ie not taking a gamble on a younger player.

Had this discussion with my mate recently.
They’ve signed a striker & not playing to his strengths.
But when you’re top of the league & winning,is it really the time to change things?
It’s a tricky one.
Big topic of conversation in our house with the lad being an avid Gooner. It’s definitely a tough decision all the while they’re top there in the case of it doesn’t matter and why would they change. But how many times have they scraped it this season and failed to break a low block top because they play constantly in front of the defence when having little variety and pinging one in behind to Gyokeres to attack would make a big difference, look at City and the top of their game they changed to get Haaland in.

Completely agree with you, if you’re not going to make the changes required and play to strengths then be better of with a younger player adapting and getting chances. Modern top level football is becoming very predictable for teams to play against imagine if they just put a bit of variety in they’d be flying. Old school wingers down the outside would rip a lot of teams apart as they’re all so used to players coming inside they get caught out down the outside.

Awful from United during that first half. Sesko the only positive.

Totally lacking any creative spark in midfield without both Bruno and Mount.
