Cracking game but car crash football. Bournemouth will wonder how they didn't win that towards the end.

I think Heaven must be the worst CB at any club in the PL. Yoro not far behind.

Man Utd were superb in the first half but missed too many chances. Second half Bournemouth ran the show and should've won it.
Yawn

Are you the heckler from Happy Gilmore? :ROFLMAO:

Great entertainment from both teams .
But both defences look very weak.

Never a handball for UTDs third but a cracker of a goal.

A back three of De Ligt, Martinez and one of Maguire or Yoro and that game has a different outcome. You can’t play a woefully inexperienced Heaven alongside Yoro and Shaw and hope to keep a clean sheet. It just isn’t happening.

Big shout out for Lammens, though. Two great stops in added time.

A huge positive has been Lammens. He might not be top class but he's a very good keeper and he's put an end to the gaffs that were happening on a regular basis under Onana. Neville was a bit harsh with the free kick but those two saves towards the end were De Gea like.

Rather unfortunately, I really like what I’ve seen of Lammens. Looks like a solid and sensible buy and a perfectly good goalkeeper.

A real shame!

Cunha and Mbuemo will help Man Utd maybe get into a European spot , maybe even a cup - they are superb and add in Mount , Sesko and Fernandes they will score goals

But the midfield and defence has too many holes in it that teams will pick apart - gk looks solid

I am not without hope, as I say, not least because we are missing our entire first choice back three.

Much more United like last night. And well on the way to eclipsing last season’s woeful goal tally. Last year I could not see any goals in the team. This year is entirely different in that respect. Just need to score more than we concede now!

Think whilst the CB’s are a lot more experienced the one thing missing and with the middle of the park - pace , the likes of Maguire and De Ligt will throw their bodies in the way and be clearing everything but without any sort of protection in front then it’s exposed

Add in a very quick DM and one quick CB and it’s a little different

Not disputing the need for a CM - been saying that for months.

There were real glimpses last night that, in an attacking sense at least, things are starting to click. Mount, Cunha and Mbeumo linked up really, really well. And it’s quite clear Bruno loves sitting in the hole just behind them.

Last night was brilliant for the neutral, great game and did remind me of the United of old with the attacking side of the team really gelling. I thought that Mbeumo had one of his worst games in a United shirt (odd comment I know given my previous assertion) as he really should have scored at least 2 with some of the clear cut chances he had. We should have been out of sight by half time but didn't take the numerous chances and credit to Bournemouth for the way that they came out in the second half.

I thought the defending on both sides was a bit of a car crash but it did make for great viewing. Oppo fans can criticise out CB's as much as you like however I think any team would struggle without having De Ligt, Martinez or Maguire playing as they make a huge difference. Heaven and Yoro are still inexperienced and having to play them as a back 2 is not ideal.

Casemiro showed he's still class but he can't play 90 mins so we always struggle after he's taken off on 60/70 mins, we desperately need a younger version of him! I thought GK got a bit of unfair stick last night for some of the goals, I think it's ultra picky to blame him. Anyway, regardless, he's still a massive improvement on what has come before him.

I was thinking why, for the first goal, did Heaven run away from Semenyo, letting him run through to have a shot. It seemed obvious early on that Heaven would be the only one that would be able to engage with him. The more I think about it, the more I think it was inexperience at playing at this level, rather than "stupidity". It was a difficult situation, where on one hand you need to defend against the guy with the ball, on the other you are concerned about leaving a player free in the middle, on for an easy pass and tap in. At youth level, you might be better cutting out the easy pass, and forcing the attacker to shoot from a tricky angle (and likely to not score). But at Premier league level, allowing Semenyo to shoot from a difficult angle is still a great chance to score due to his ability. The finish was superb, sadly.

Lammens will be disappointed with conceding that free kick. His position wasn't too bad, but he hadn't his feet grounded at the moment he'd have wanted to start his dive. But it was still a tricky shot to deal with. Not much he could have done about the other 3 goals. Takes me back a year or two, when teams could just break through the middle of out midfield with ease.

I can see why Mainoo doesn't get to play much. In possession, he looked back to his best last night. Just doing the simple things well, and keeping possession in tight positions. But if Amorim wants to play Bruno in midfield, you can't play both Bruno and Mainoo, as neither really have a defensive bone in their body. And Bruno will always play. With Mbeumo now unavailable, I hope Amorim starts to play Bruno in a No. 10 role, having him, Cunha, Mount and Sesko primarily competing for the 3 forward positions. Then have Mainoo playing in the deeper midfield role instead of Bruno, alongside either Casemiro or Ugarte.

Your going to need to score lots of goals on last nights evidence.😂

What a match last night from United... Forget the rest of the team. it just shows what a difference a good keeper can make. Onana would have conceded about 8 by then. Some of the reflex saves were brilliant - incl the last min injury time one. While we should have won, i would take a 4-4 over a 0-0.... Somehow hanging around in the chase during the next half of the season

Just watched highlights from the Utd v Bournemouth game, mental game 🤯
Feel like Fernandes as wasted his best years at Utd,I know he’s not liked by alot of people, but he’s good enough to play for any of the top teams in Europe imo.

Remember, none of the Utd players could get into any of the top sides in the Premier League, according to at least someone in here. So, that must include Bruno :)

Just had a quick look back on Bruno Fernandes specifically, and these are the comments about him getting into Liverpool's team back in January (I won't say by who :) )

"Because the one at Man Utd doesn’t get near our squad - he is massively overrated , zero work ethic , zero heart , zero football IQ

Grav is a far more dynamic player than him

Mcallisters range of passing far out strips his

Doms work ethic and running ability wipes the floor with him

He can clean Jones’s boots if he wants"

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but he’s a class above the players you mention for me.
