In the context of what has gone in the last week, last night’s performance away against very tough opponents was excellent. Again, looking at the wider picture the fans at the end of the game were chanting Slot’s name, not Salah’s.

Is there a way back for Salah? Of course there is. Behind the scenes he needs to apologise, park his ego, get his head down in training and show he’s good enough for the match day squad. Not that hard for someone of Salah’s ability… but will he?

The last few matches have suggested Liverpool are nudging their way back on track. Salah needs to recognise the bigger picture and help turn things around, not hinder them.
I don’t think there is a way back for him, just about all Lpool fan’s recognise him as one of their greatest ever players, but him coming out and making the statement, plus his performances this season has literally turned the majority of their fan base against him.

I’ve seen or heard no one taking his side or wanting him to stay, even the few Lpool fans on here have stated he should be sold, his legs have gone, his age is against him etc etc.

I believe some hope he has played his last game for them and they cash in in january.

Sad way for his time there to end, but he has to bare some of that responsibility.

If Mo goes knocking on the door of the manager and apologises and accepts that he no longer warrants a guaranteed place in the team , if he wants to play the he works hard and waits

Issue for me though

He is on a lot of money to be sat on the bench

And he needs to adjust his game slightly

Looking at the formation last night he could play in that split forward role but would need to work and press

The next couple of weeks will be interesting

On last night

Thought we were excellent for most of the match and created the best chances against a team that’s been superb in europe

The first goal - it’s not disallowed in the Prem and the var took too long

The penalty

Interesting one

Letter of the law he has pulled his shirt back and outside they blow up for a foul

Yeah he made a meal of it by going down in the way he did , but players need to do that it seems to get the decisions

Thought the ref was poor all night

But think we deserved the win

1. The odds of that happening are the same as Ronaldo apologising for his interview with Piers Morgan

2. I'm not so sure you'd be so accepting of the player doing what Wirtz did, if that player was Bruno Fernandes, Saka or Grealish

My Sheffield Wednesday fan mate has just been talking about Harry Amass. Aparently his loan spell has gone very well, despite the position Wednesday are in. It would be nice to think that this experience will be excellent for him, toughen him up, and he might be in a position to play as a left wing back for Man Utd at a really good standard. As much as I want Dorgu to work out, I'm starting to struggle to believe he'll ever learn to kick a ball in the right direction. Could do with a player like Amass giving him competition, rather than Dalot.

I know we brought in 18 yr old Diego Leon from Paraguay as well, although not really sure where he is in his development, not seen him since playing in pre season friendlies (and making his debut for Paraguay in October)

I dought it.
When someone thinks the world revolves around them they don’t change.

Well Bruno,Saka and Grealish have all done it in the past.
We all know you need to go down if your fouled.

Bit suprized by Shearers comments given he thinks any contact and the striker has the right to go down 😳

The refs are at fault imho.
“ never had hold of his shirt long enough “ is a joke .

Is pulling a shirt a foul Yes or No.

Always torn when he speaks as it’s hard not to think back to when he twice tried to leave the club and shoving in a transfer request and ensuring that all went public 🤔
Problem is is that we have no idea what goes on inside these top Clubs and are guessing, he’s been at that level and sees it from a different perspective.

FFS Newcastle, ruined my 11-1 treble! Superb second half, 2 goals, hit the inside of the post twice and a wonder save then switch off in the last minute and throw it away to a poor Bayer side

I don't wish to make things worse... but they did get beaten by Liverpool! and even Leeds didn't manage that!
They just looked like a team that rely on individuals rather than team work. Some of the Whinging was another level. Bellingham where do you start. I have a feeling that’s one of the reasons Tuchel is undecided about him. The sooner Alonso leaves that cesspit of a club the better.

FIFA have really done what's best for fans for the World Cup, and ensured affordable tickets.

You can get a "value" ticket for the Final for as low as £3,119. "Standard" tier is £4,162 and "Premium" tier is £6,615

For comparison, at Qatar these were £450, £747 and £1,197 for each tier.

For groups games, prices have more than doubled from the previous World Cup. To watch England v Croatia, the 3 types of ticket are £198, £373 or £523.

I suppose football is not the best sport if you want to go with 2 or 3 of your kids as well. That'll add up pretty quickly to big money.
