I'm not sure anyone actually believes the above. It comes down to whether another club challenges them and raises it to uefa. Do Forest really want uefa investigating more closely!

The owner isn't going to be quiet so I suspect we will find out over time 😄
There is no doubt that he will be fully involved in the running of the club

I'm not sure that having the owner of Forest front and centre, making statements about players etc really backs up the claim to uefa that he isn't involved in the running of the club. Not the smartest move.

I wonder if any other club might write in for clarification at some point.........🤭
The legal ownership/control was taken back from the blind trust after it was confirmed we didn’t make the champions league.

Hope this helps 👍

Ah dammit, you shouldn’t have told everyone that. Now they’re gonna have to think of a different stick to try and beat him with!

How about the fact that he’s fat? That’s the preferred one that Palace and Spurs fans have been using for the last couple of weeks.

What amuses me is the way everyone who isn’t a Forest fan continues to underestimate Marinakis. I know he’s a pantomime villain to all. But he really isn’t as stupid as people want to think.
I don't think anyone thinks he's stupid.
I think they believe him to be a thoroughly dubious character with allegations of a variety of match fixing and various other shenanigans dotted around his history.
Not suggesting that this makes him unique amongst football club owners, I'm just slightly bemused that football supporters constantly perform mental gymnastics to justify the way the club they support is run.

Just put the single most important word in that paragraph in bold 👍

Highest criminal court in the land unanimously cleared him of any charges.

But that’s irrelevant right? Cos he’s foreign, looks a bit dodgy and refuses to toe the line.

The truth is that deep down in places they don’t talk about at parties, the vast majority of fans would love to have him at the helm of their club. And that just makes them hate him even more!

“They can’t handle the truth.”

So does that mean when he was found guilty of spitting towards officials it was correct ?

How many “dodgy” people have been found not guilty to be then found to be very much guilty

Is this one still outstanding

I know you hate him Arthur. And I love it. ❤️

In your eyes, the result of that case is irrelevant. He’s guilty either way.

Hate always a strong word

There is always a lot of mental gymnastics to get round his spitting incident - another owner or player etc and the rhetoric would be hugely different

You are happy with him as owner , I can see why as he is passionate but wouldn’t want a character like him owning us

Hope you come to the same conclusions if City are cleared of their allegations.

Really?
I support, and occasionally pay money to watch, a club owned (and badly run) by a pornographer. Despite supporting the team, I make no effort to defend him or persuade myself that he's a good person. I have no interest in (or am prepared to jump through whataboutism hoops to justify) a sports washing oil state owning the club, or a shady character from parts unknown, or a US PE fund. I'm an adult who enjoys watching football but despises the greed and corruption that surrounds it. I'm pleased when they win, and not particularly fussed when they don't.
I probably go to different parties to you, but most of the people I know who follow football feel much the same.

It’s up to you how you feel about your porno owner.

I don’t know. Maybe you’d feel differently or feel that you weren’t jumping through hoops if he invested £1.4 million annually in local engagement programs, backed local homeless charities and food banks, donated over 3000 hot meals and over 7000 PPE items during COVID, donated kits and merchandise to raise over £20,000 for a local hospital, donated over 3000 food parcels to local homeless people, pledged £8000 to help a local grassroots football club after they’d suffered robbery and vandalism, donated over 1000 of your club’s kits to local deprived children, converted over £12 million in loans into equity for your club to reduce debt, funded flood relief and refugee assistance in his home country, funded medical relief and ICU beds to a value of €1.5 million during COVID, supported educational endowments such as a $1 million professorship at Ohio State university, funded major upgrades to stands and facilities at your football stadium or brought your club from the brink of League One to playing European football.

But yeah. It’s all just whataboutism and jumping through hoops. He’s fat and he uses an iPhone 7.

I hate to break it to you, but the world is full of unsavory characters/ organisations making charitable donations and performing altruistic good turns.
The Sackler family in the US?
Closer to East Midlands footballing home, how about Robert Maxwell?
It's literally rich evil person 101.
Of course, your chap might be a clean as a whistle. Who knows, certainly not me. Just consider that it's more than a faint possibility that he isn't
