Having seen the Villa refereeing mistake it seems Newcastle are somewhat fortunate to end up in a CL place....but kudos for Everton for maintaining a bit of integrity when they had nothing to play for and could easily have rolled over.

Looking forward to a large amount of transfer business this summer....not bought a first team player since August 2023....that's three windows without a signing to strengthen the first team...that's how much PSR has affected us. Needs to be 7 or 8 bit part players released and a similar number coming in at a higher level of quality...the current squad simply does not have the depth to compete.

I am pleased for Maranakis, I’m sure he is overjoyed with conference league along with the fans. I mean you could really win it unlike the champions league. 👍

It’s an almighty mistake that costs us a lot more than just CL football. It’s finances and future progression. Absolutely disgusted with it to be honest.

We didn’t play well, we were terrible in fact but we should have taken a 1-0 lead and had something to hold on to.
In the interests of a bit of midlands unity I'm genuinely disappointed for you.
Having said that, I think Martinez's stupidity cost you the match, not the ref.

This is absolutely pathetic and childish from Aston Villa.

Referees make mistakes. Every club is on the receiving end of them. Get over it.

Rise above it.

The referee is just giving his opinion at the end of the day.

I’d be embarrassed if my club did this.

Etc

Martinez was stupid

But

If the ref does as all are instructed and lets the play continue then the ball goes into the net and VAR will look at it

It’s a really poor decision and understand the ref is inexperienced

Utd scored 2 goals. Would have been 2-1. Same outcome.

But what if Villa had scored first? They could have gone on to win 2-0.

The universe doesn't work like that; it could just as easily have ended 4-1 to Utd.

Anyway, the results are in. There's no changing them.

So you’re saying that Villa are the club of the people?!

🤣🤣🤣
I get it. Any time a referee makes a mistake, you are going to come on here and make it all about Forest. Poor old Forest who are hard done by.

Everyone in here has bemoaned ref decisions. And I'm sure every mistake is discussed with officials afterwards. But, it's tiring if you are going to continually try and equate everything to how Forest have reacted in the past, and somehow justifying it.

WTF is the Premier League Playmaker of the Year award?

Next they'll be giving him awards for eating Chocolate Hob Nobs in one sitting.
It was invented in 2017/18. But you have only heard of it now, because a Liverpool player has won it and that has resulted in a Premier League first.

To some, might make it sound like he is the greatest player ever.

To be fair, I haven't seen him in the PL for a few months, so it is nice he has appeared in the limelight again. :)
