Which is why I was thinking should intent matter, or should some elbows simply be considered dangerous?
The lawmakers seem happy to give penalties for balls hitting raised arms, even though it is often clearly accidental. But if a players raised arm injures an opponent, they seem reasonably OK with that

Every incident needs to be judged separately. I didn't mean every time a player runs into someone else's elbow in a natural position, it should be red.
But, a few of us have already said they feel Mings knew what he was up to. The question, I think, should be asked: was he endangering an opponent?

Was hoping semi automated offside was a bit quicker than that, so that once the celebrations have ended, you at least know by then. Still sucks the life out of things when the players have celebrated, you've watched 3 or 4 replays of the goal, and after all that it still announced it is under review

Again it comes down to judgement and intent - always going to be hard

Again, as I said before, intent is meaningless when endangering an opponent in some cases, whereas it is the most important factor in others.
Which means that, to me, a player can always throw an elbow towards an opponents head when "protecting" the ball. They may risk a yellow, but never get a red. Because it is easy to intend to hurt a player in a way that is impossible for anyone else to judge whether you intended it

It's the same every time the bigger team don't win as expected.
The ego of the players can't handle not winning it, and so have to blame the opponents rather than themselves, and make it sound that they are still fabulous players despite failing to win
