Would take him for that in a heartbeat. He's getting on a bit, but in the right formation can still do a job and we'll need depth next season if we manage to get CL.

So is Digne but hes still class, like you said - depth is key next year.

We have an almost complete squad now, for much of the season weve been half broken and performances have really suffered - all the extra football really visibly takes a toll if you cant rotate players at times.

We made 8 changes from Midweek to the weekend fixture and still looked good and did a job on 3rd in the league.. that's a proper CL squad but its taken another window and players returning from injuries to get there.

It was strange they didn’t look at the Kelleher challenge - well I don’t think they did
It's not strange at all, it would be strange if it was against Arsenal and not be given, why do you think the meme 'checking club badge' crops up when Var is involved
Not once this season has a goalkeeper come rushing out, not got the ball and brought a forward down not been a penalty, and most not even been as clear cut as this one (Nick Pope against Brentford in the week)

😂

Surely not suggesting any bias against Arsenal 😂

No shock whatsoever but the Southampton manager has got the boot. Must be as flat as a pancake in the dressing room there at the moment. Tough time to be a Saints fan.

If they get a new manager bounce and take any points from us on Saturday ill be gutted :ROFLMAO:

PSG have no game in between our 2 fixtures too, so we could have done with an easy game :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Will need a manager use to the championship. That isn't an easy league as Leeds are currently demonstrating

I think the striker tries to hurdle Keller and has lost control of the ball, all I can think of .

But it should be a pen imo.

What’s your thoughts on the PSG game?
Best team I’ve seen in the CL this season.

They've been bad, but not even managing to beat Spurs is clearly the final straw. Even Leicester and Ipswich managed that.

How did he even get the gig in the first place?? I still have no idea who he is. Most baffling appointment in recent memory. It's like they didn't want to stay up.

Like I said 12 games at club before Southampton

Never seems to stay anywhere too long https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Jurić

Bizarre, as I've just come on to say the same. I didn't watch the game, but just watching MOTD2 now, and gobsmacked that wasn't a penalty.

Had it happened at the other end of pitch, we'd have definitely heard about in on this thread
How comes VAR never looked at that 😳

Just the three clubs in England - Plymouth , Forest and Fulham 😂
Start of the down

Was going to say - 8 Changes and your squad still looked solid AF. You're what, 1-2 years ahead of us in terms of squad development? Two more summer windows with some astute business and hopefully we'll be in much more sustainable issue. We definitely need 3-5 players in the summer to help with Rotation if we're going to compete at all next season (whilst trying to keep the core squad together that we have now....but that's the challenge I suppose. Hopefully we can sell the Ladies Netball Team to ourselves to cover any debt like Chelsea 🙃)

Technically they look at everything, they just don't act on a lot of stuff. So, the question is, why didn't VAR intervene?

Only VAR know the answer to this. I guess it is because they are often scared of their own shadow, and because they are ultimately asked to stick with the onfield decision as much as possible, will let a lot of stuff go. Like the Everton challenge on Mac Allister last week. The VAR may have said "the Fulham player had already played the ball, the collision had no impact on where that ball went, we'll stick with onfield". If ref had given a penalty, I guess they would have stuck with that as well.

It's another reason why I think VAR will never make the game better. As much as I think it was a penalty, I'm also happy that VAR is used as minimally as possible. I'd rather debate an onfield referee missing a decision in real time, than VAR not acting after they've seen something time after time again.
