Unless him or PGMOL can provide clear proof (publicly) of it being fake, his and their reputation will be in tatters.
That’s the wrong way around imo.
If he says “ it’s fake “ it should be up to PGMOL to prove it’s genuine.?
Innocent until and all that.

But if proven genuine that’s him for reffing anywhere 😳

Coote was on VAR and decided that Pickfords action was not worthy of anything - it was a knee high two footed tackle that should have been a red card

The offside doesn’t mean he couldn’t be sent off

So Coote looked at the video and ignored the clear handball by Odegaard

Rodri is an error 👍

There also a number of others

Last Saturday highlights a good number
I'm going to make an assumption here:

Select any Premier League referee, and I'm sure we can all identify moments in games that featured our teams in which they either made a mistake, or at least made a big call we didn't agree with.

I wonder how many decisions he made that went in Liverpool's favour, and had opposition fans screaming at the decision?

No, Oliver admitted afterwards he thought it was Yellow Card and Penalty and only asked VAR to check build up, you may of consider it a red card, but the Ref didn’t. Coote told him offside in build up and VAR intervention finished there. It’s pure speculation to suggest Coote saw it differently.

The offside doesn’t mean he couldn’t be sent off, It does if the Officials didn’t see a Red Card offence (this has been discussed to death previously)

Or, he agreed with the Ref it was accidental and both were wrong, you can’t put it all on Coote.

If the video is real he should be sacked, but if you look hard enough every Official has made errors.

I would agree with the sentiment but the trouble is, no one has any faith in PGMOL either. So I’m not sure them saying “oh yea, it’s all good, It’s defo fake” will wash.

It’s also a bit convenient to simply blame AI. We’ve done AI videos at work for translations etc and it’s very clever but you can tell it’s computer generated very easily. This video doesn’t have any of those things.

Very interested to know who the other bloke is!

Ruud has left Man Utd.
Got to feel for him,but suppose the new gaffa wants his people in.

I’d have been astonished if he’d been kept on, if I’m honest.

He’s a big, big personality, and I can’t see Amorim coming in and wanting a link to the past whose very presence has the potential to be seen as undermining if early results don’t go well.

RVN is, and always will be, a club legend. I was lucky enough to see him play first hand any number of times, and he remains the most clinical finisher I ever saw in a United shirt. His stock remains high after his time on the coaching staff, and I have little doubt he will be back to manage one day.

But it needs to be on his own terms, and he is of such a stature that he needs to be the main man.

Agreed.
Would probably feel like he’s waiting for when it all goes tits up if he’d stayed.
Comes across as a decent bloke, like you say his stock his high,he’ll not be short of offers.

So Coote is now accepting it’s real but “doesn’t remember” the discussion.

Might be due to the fact you’re coked out of your head pal.

Crimes can't be defended by being coked up so this can't either

That mate of his who filmed it has ruined his career. People are allowed private views but recording them then making them public is low

It’s the mirror so take it with a pinch of salt

But seems like it’s a video taken when someone is smashed ( or high )
