Out of interest, do you know how many academy players played for City today. 5.
They are players that are now playing to a level and standard that is expected when they get the chance. Oscar Bobb has the quality that could make him the next Foden.
That’s what am kinda saying about Arteta, he don’t have squad players to come on and play to that level. Is he bringing any young players on like Pep and Klopp. That said it’s a massive boost to see KDB and Doku back today.

Oscar Bobb ? The lad signed from Norway when he was 17 ?

It looks very depressingly like another City domestic double. Haaland has had a nice rest, KDB easing back to fitness and Foden hitting top form. Throw in a decent run of games until March.

I find it staggering the PL can let City get away with delaying all these charges for so long. And likewise, if City are innocent then why wouldn't they want the matter settled ASAP? It's seriously damaging the integrity of the league.

youve bought how many academy players the last 5 years? Id hope some of it was starting to come to fruition

Saka has always been overrated to a degree. A very good player yes but since his new deal and buying into his own hype he's dropped off. Whether it's burn out or the lack of a striker to supply I'm not sure, Arsenal fans will know better.

Arsenal are a top quality side, so well set up and coached but they lack a top striker with a physical presence. Arteta is going to pay the price for wasting money on Havertz and Raya. The summer window was shocking. Timber was a good buy but unfortunate to get injured but the others....luxury players that have set the team back. Stick Toney up top today and the game is over at half time.

Arsenal were an absolute shambles 5 years ago and the job Arteta has done in terms of culture change, playing style and entertainment is amazing he just needs to stop getting too clever and go back to basics a bit. Very few teams win major trophies without a world class striker.

Saka overrated? Buying into his own hype? Really?

It is definitely coming to fruition and not just on the pitch. City have made more than £100 million from the sales of academy players and with players like James Macatee out on loan. It will continue to contribute towards City’s coffers. 👍

Enjoyed the Arsenal / Liverpool game today.
Arsenal should of been out of sight by half time but a different Liverpool team emerged for the second half.
The 2 youngsters that came on for Liverpool played really well considering the magnitude of the game and knowing they were going to be coming under pressure.

Not everyone finds it depressing 😉😁👍

I couldn’t have put it better. I thought it a good game for the neutral.
Arsenal for me proved why they could well struggle to go the distance this season. Jesus, Zinchenko and Havertz are squad players at Liverpool and City. And that is being kind.
City got £75 million for Jesus and Zinchenko

happy you sold Cole Palmer?
chuffed to bits for him. We certainly haven’t missed him. Oscar Bobb has dropped straight in as a replacement.
Cole Palmer is/was in the same situation as Foden and Sancho was.
Foden stayed, Sancho went. Re Palmer I certainly don’t feel any malice towards him Going. I still follow his career at Chelsea and it was said about him the other day. He scored two goals and disappeared for the rest of the game instead of busting a gut for his hat trick. At times He does disappear from games. And at the Liverpool and City level, you cannot afford to. Nunez at Liverpool is very similar

Any team would be gutted selling him, looks a top drawer player with only more to come.
But with Silva, Foden, Grealish and Doku in the team with Oscar Bobb as a replacement who would you drop.
If memory serves me right he asked to leave. I think he knew he was going to struggle to get game time.

You're right on him wanting to leave for more game time, just think he is a top notch player that could do a job at any top team.

He's a very good player don't get me wrong but I definitely feel he's overrated to a degree. His stats last season were a level below Rashford who was playing exactly the same role, just on other side. Rashford managed 30 goals in a much worse side.

As I said, I don't know as much as an Asenal fan who goes home and away to rate his performances this season but from the games I've seen, especially lately he's been terrible.

If I had to make a choice between Rashford and Saka in my side, Saka wins every time.

There’s only one of that pair who is overrated.

We were in for him as a paquata replacement when he was off

Would have been perfect

I think he would, he would get game time in a good team. One you should be going for if Paquata heads north is James Macatee who is on loan at Sheff Utd.
