Genuinely just a terrible Villa showing going forward today.

They all kept slipping over too, no idea what they were up to but that’s the worst we’ve looked all season.
Was a bit of a Steve Cooper tactical masterclass as well, which helped stifle Villa’s attacks to be fair. Been a rough few weeks, but the decision to switch out old man Willy at the back for the more athletic Niakhaté to deal with Watkins (despite him being a naturally left sided CB) worked thankfully! Helped that Mr. reliable Harry Toffolo had a solid game again too (as well as Aina down the right (and left later on).

Whole team played out of their skin and stuck to their assignments, which they had to if they were going to get anything from today. Our midfield three are going to be very special I think (hope!) - Dominguez was everywhere today (again!) and Mangala has been our player of the season so far.

Special mention to Murillo, who has somehow adapted to life in the premier league after 5 games and a grand total of 18 league games as a professional 1st team footballer 😳 He is going to be an £80m CB in a year or two if he carries on.

Bonkers to think people were calling for Cooper to be sacked after a crazy 10 minute meltdown against Luton two weeks ago 🥴 funny old game.

Got to be at least 10mins at this rate.

Spurs were excellent and then went crackers. Not sure why they've lost their heads 🤷🏻‍♂️
Getting the bottlejob out of the way much earlier than usual. 😂 Honestly I don't know what happened. We should have had two reds, and then ironically the red that was given was less of a red than the others. Just baffling how we've lost the plot after such a great start.

Still expecting a Chelsea red card to level it up at some stage.

VAR will be delighted Romero gave them a second chance to send him off. Had he not, and Spurs won, they would have been hammered. As it stands, it softens the criticism of them.

Although VAR still have time for a few howlers yet.

Now the rest of Spurs team getting injured

The football is absolute night and day from the last two seasons to this. The formation, style, mentality all completely different. The players even look happy and more motivated then they did before. It is a bit of column A and a bit of column B though - yes the manager has done a complete turnaround in no time, but recruitment was key also, because without Maddison or Van de Ven we wouldn't be where we are either. Both incredible signings - and not just because they're better than what we had, it's more than that - if either of them wasn't in the side we'd be physically unable to play the way we're playing. (God help us if they get injured but that's another story.)
Oh dear...
