He was a nice guy and undeniably blue through and through. But they’re not always the qualities you need in a chairman. It’s sad he’s gone. It’s also sad he’s left the club a worse place than he found it. But he gave it a go and deserved better from those around him. All a bit of a shame really.

Was a bit disappointed to see 4 mins added time in the Sevilla Arsenal game but it turned out there was more action in the 48th/49th minutes than the previous 47.

Onana has had a decent couple of games. Two fine saves tonight on top of a decent display at the weekend. Maybe not the clown many think he is. We’ll see.
And I’m not going to lie. I’m hugely critical of Maguire. Doesn’t mean I’m not absolutely delighted for him. He’s also had a good couple of games. Very solid tonight and a really good winning goal.

He’s a perfectly reasonable keeper. All keepers make howlers. He’s been asked to do so much, he’s bound to make a few mistakes.
Genuinely it pains me to say it, but United will be fine with him between the sticks. I’ll even it out a bit - they’ve far bigger problems elsewhere!
I’ve said it a couple of times now, but people seem to have quickly forgotten just how bad de Gea was when he first arrived. Onana has probably been better, despite the errors.
He’s playing in the most scrutinised position at the most scrutinised club there is. And, tonight’s penalty save aside, I’m hearing little in the way of pundit praise for anything else. He was very solid on Saturday evening, and I think there’s a steady upturn in what he’s producing.
And I agree about problems elsewhere. We’re missing Luke Shaw like you would not believe, more probably than anyone else. And the forward line badly needs a goal or two. I really like the look of Hojlund, thought he was a real handful again tonight, but he needs a goal or two to get him going.
And Rashford needs a run of games on the bench. Lazy, ineffective and frustrating from him. Again.

I would quite like a game or 2 with both rested, and Garnacho and Mount replacing them

I agree, though he's not alone. It seems it's ok to attack professional sportsmen not just for their poor performances on the pitch.

Why is it Rashford keeps getting picked for UTD and England ?
Is he brilliant in training.?
He's a decent player for England from what I've seen, seems to have a lot more freedom and system suits him better.

I'm guessing, because no matter how frustrating he is, in moments he can score in an instant. If he gets a rare moment in space, rather than 3 defenders blocking his path, he is possible the one player who could score when you think "once he got the ball, the opposition never stood a chance in stopping him". In other words, he is probably the only player that has that pace, strength and directness that can get fans standing up in anticipation (albeit normally to collapse in frustration) and get you that vital goal. Having said that, Garnacho is certainly becoming that exciting prospect as well, hence I'd like to see him get a few starts and he may well do as we get into the season.
If Utd were able to score a good amount of goals throughout the team, I'd imagine Rashford and Bruno would be dropped / rested for more games. But, for a team not scoring goals, it is a huge risk taking out your 2 biggest goal threats. I'd imagine Ten Hag is trying to keep them in the side, hopefully see them improve their form as more players return, whilst hopefully improving the way the whole team integrate together. The irony might be that the team are shifting responsibility to 2 out of form players, hence poor team displays. So there could still well be changes if things continue as they do. Will be interesting to see what happens when we play Newcastle in EFL Cup, as I imagine that would be a good chance to mix things up a bit.

There's a lad in my weekly kickabout who's a bit like Rashford. His touch often lets him down, his decision-making is awful, passes when he should shoot, shoots when he should pass. Nobody wants him on their team because he's so frustrating. But he still scores a goal or two most weeks because he has a stepover and a powerful shot in the locker, so like a broken clock that's right twice a day, he will find the net at some point. And I'm sure he goes home with his head held high thinking he's a great player because he scored again.
