He's on his way. Will be a bayern player ready for the weekend
Bayern are playing an underclass club in the 1st cup round this weekend. They don't need him just yet.
Then next Friday they are opening the Bundesliga season away at my team, Werder Bremen. They should take their time, due diligence and such. I hope 10 days for the transfer ;-)

Brighton have had a huge profit from selling Caciedo but I would have preferred him to still be an Albion player ,he is by far and away the best midfielder in the world and will only get better. He is only 21 but already has shown that he has the talent to go to the very top.
Brighton will have a huge task in finding a gem like him again ever.

Wowzers, gone in large there! Better than all the established names in the top Premier League and Champs League clubs, and those we saw in the World Cup? Bold claim 👍😉

From the BBC Website

Now football journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Caicedo has told Liverpool he only wants to join Chelsea.

"Caicedo has decided to keep his word and only accept Chelsea as personal terms were agreed since end of May. Chelsea, set to bid again in order to get deal done with Brighton," he said.

Could get messy as Brighton appear to be saying that nothing has changed

yep but then again, if the player will only go to Chelsea and Brighton want their £100mil rather than be stuck with a sulky player, what choice do they have.

Not sure that this could not be even worse for Liverpool as if you lose this one and want to go back for that Southampton midfielder or, indeed, any other option, the clubs now know that you have pockets that are over £100mil deep.

Just for a bit of clarity on spending Under Peps reign, a period in which he has won 14 trophies.

Quote,
For comparison, Manchester United’s net spend during the same time period is a whopping £835 million.

In fact, City’s net spend over the last five years places them only tenth amongst Premier League teams.

It also says
Quote,
As well as United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham all have greater net spends since 2018.

City even made a profit in the summer 2022 transfer window despite big money moves for Haaland and Kalvin Phillips.

United’s net spend has largely occurred during a period where, not only were they employing a total scattergun approach to signings, they were utterly incapable of moving players on.

A club can spend all the money in the world, but without a coherent plan they might as well be having a wee in the wind.

Just look at Chelsea in the last eighteen months.

To be honest Billy it wasn’t a dig at anyone, esp Utd. It was in response to someone’s post that came up on an email in response to someone else. I had second thoughts about posting it as it still don’t fit someone’s agenda.

Re Utd, I think it’s fair to say that the Utd fans have been very critical of the direction the club has gone over the last few years.

Whether City, Utd, Liverpool of lord knows any other top table clubs like it or not. The days of the local shop keeper bunging a few quid in a brown envelope to get a player have now been replaced by multi billion pound owners. Paying £100 plus for a player no one had heard of before last season May well be the norm. If you cannot accept that, your stay from the top table will be a long one.
Looking forward to this season 😁👍

So are you changing your prediction of running for the title if he doesn’t sign? 🤣😉
With or without, we're not challenging for the title. Arsenal are better than they were last season. City are City and will almost certainly win in. We've got a whole new midfield, regardless of other goings on.

As I said a few pages back - this is all posturing of the highest order and I'm still confident come Sunday Caicedo will have a Chelsea shirt on with Lavia a Liverpool shirt a few days later.

I wonder if Brighton will end up like Southampton?
Keep selling good players and getting new ones in. Until the new ones don't quite get there and it all goes Pete Tong.
Everyone thinks that they are smarter than the rest, until they aren't.
Yes must piss the fans off big time selling their best players.

worlds gone mad but you have to pay to keep up.
I would take what Klopp has said in the past with a pinch of salt.
Every other PL manager as well.

rumours are that Spuds are looking at Lukaku as a relpacement for Kane.

just imagine him and Richarlison together - I'd fancy my chances at CB against those 2

Liverpool's bid for Caceido make it pretty clear that the reason they never went for Bellingham was simply because he didn't want to go to Liverpool and told them so.

So, the idea that they didn't want to spend too much money on one player, and thus deciding not to put in a bid, was a pile of rubbish.

They didn’t have the money at that stage.

😂

So the club needed to bring in at least 3 players and had a budget of around £100-150mil to spend so decided to use the budget to bring in 3 equal quality players as opposed to blowing £100mil on one

Then the club got a bit of unexpected £50mil from selling Fabinho and Henderson which gave them a little boost to the funds which allowed them to spend £100mil on a player now.

I know it’s prob hard to imagine for you but circumstances change
