Getting everyone used to the later times so as there is less of a shock when it is a night match played in the middle east next season.
Joking aside, the NFL play game abroad. Wonder how long before prem teams play abroad. šŸ˜³šŸ‘
Thoughts on that one. šŸ‘

Already been discussed many times over the years

Think the idea was mooted a few years ago. Went down like a lead balloon with supporters groups.

But as ever....money talks and the fans have long been down the list of considerations when such ideas are floated.

I think it is slightly diferrent in that there is very little NFL played in Europe at a high level (not sure what happended to the old European league wiht the London Monarchs and the Scottish Claymores) and so it is not treading on anyone's toes and is all under the banner ot developing the game. Also it helps everyone as all of the NFL merch is made and sold by one company and the prfits split evenly and so send a team to the UK could sell a few thousand more shirts and that money benefits everyone irrespective of who actually played.

That said, whilst the pre season tournaments are keeping foreign fans happy at the moment, it cannot be long before the big foreign owners start pushing or games to be played in their home countries.

He’s a centre forward by trade now most of the time but he’s played in different positions in his time at Leipzig. Would expect him to stay through the middle for Chelsea.

Would expect him to stay on the bench for Chelsea.

Kovacic signs for City - 30m total.

Gundogan replaced?

Strange from chelsea. They are actually selling off their proven players rather than the rubbish

IE jorginho to arsenal and this guy to city..both proven class players

Havertz to arsenal next. They will regret that tbh

They obviously want to build a young team which will play together for the years to come and are just flogging anyone who are worth anything still (plus maybe on big wages?)

Havertz is a strange player, a good player, but one who doesn't seem to fit a 4-3-3 system very well.

Are a lot of their rubbish players (so far anyway) not the ones who signed on 36 year contracts on high wages? :)

If so, it may be harder to get rid of them. And so, if they have to sell to earn a bit of money, I guess they are just getting rid of some of the other guys who have been in the squad for a few years now.

Just saw Chelsea have sold Havertz to Arsenal for £65 million

Now, I know he has probably been played out of position, and is probably a much better player than I've seen. However, based on his Chelsea performances, surely Chelsea are laughing their heads off. Havertz has been really poor, and they've managed to bin him for £65 million. I am thinking "What are Arsenal playing at?". I can only imagine there is some thought that he will link up really well with Jesus, and suit Arsenal's playing style much better than Chelsea?

If I was an Arsenal fan, I might be feeling pretty underwhelmed or nervous about that signing.

Just a thought… if a proven player was bought in for, let’s say, Ā£20m and because of his prowess was sold for Ā£25m there’s now Ā£25m on the books. The Ā£20m + the Ā£5m profit.

If a rubbish player was bought in for Ā£20m, and a decision was made to keep him he’s worth Ā£20m on the books. But if decision is to sell the poor player at Ā£15m it will show up as Ā£15m and a Ā£5m loss on the books. Multiply that by 3 players and you show Ā£45m, instead of Ā£60m and a Ā£15m loss. What will that do to the FFP equation? Just a random thought…

No point with ffp, chelsea are having their Saudi links to buy some of their dross for inflated prices

Premier league and the big European clubs have been pillaging small clubs for players for years based on their deep pockets. Will be interesting to see how they like a taste

I’m not sure that’s what Saudi are doing right now . They are getting players that clubs are looking to offload

I don’t think they have ā€œpillagedā€ any top club as yet and it’s not far from what happened with the Chinese super league - they won’t get many players who actually want to play on the biggest stage
