I like to think that having followed a rammel team for the best part of 50 years. I don’t own a pair of rose tinted glasses.
Have we spent money to get us to the top table yes.
Is it all above board. No.
Are we the only club to spend more than we have. No.
Are we the most valuable club in the world yes.
Would we have got there if we had not spent money. No.
Have we put money into football, other clubs in the Prem that otherwise they would not have got, Yes.
At the same time have other clubs been run poorly by their owners and took Millions out of their clubs. Yes.
Has Pep transformed the way football is played in this. Oh try down to children’s level, Yes.
Has Liverpool copied City by dropping TTA into midfield like City do with Johnny Johnny stones, Johnny Johnny Stones. Yes
Are City fans bothered about the bitterness, No.
Will I be in Gods City tomorrow watching the champions of Europe tomorrow, yes.
And the best of all.
Will City will be in seven comps next year and continue to keep spending. Yes.
Don’t know what’s sweeter. The treble or bitter fans.
However I really would like to take this moment to thank all the fans of other clubs who have congratulated City.

I like to think in a few years time Man City will be viewed in the same like as Chelsea clubs that have achieved success through money invested by corrupt regimes.

The Saudis along with UAE were the first countries to give credence and financial help to the Taliban which facilitated with other terror groups the rise in global terrorism death and destruction in the west including Manchester.

Thats my take on City’s success others will no doubt disagree

What I found positive yesterday was that the Inter players didn’t rip of their medals immediately. Seemed to be the 1st time in years that the runner up didn’t do that.

Football is cyclical and when Pep goes City will be vulnerable. It's the same at most clubs where the managers have been there a while and then leave.

KDB is also 32, starting to pick up knocks, Gundogan may go this summer after being huge this season. Little things but they may open the door for other teams.

Source on money is a tough one - there will always be skeletons in closets , not sure there is many “clean” billionaires and even then companies that sponsor clubs or the Prem itself and also media rights will come from a lot of areas of dubious questions.

Middle East owners will be doing the same as the LIV , boxing , etc - all parts of sportswashing and that’s not going to go away and there isn’t much that can be done about - Man Utd will be the next one to come under state ownership. I just hope we don’t ever go down that road. The recent revelations in regards Newcastle may well put them under scrutiny next though

But that’s not my main issue with what’s happened with City since they have been bought , they had money and they wanted to spend it but couldn’t go beyond the acceptable loses the club can make over the 5 year period , so the only for them to be able to spend more was find a way to bring more in - the standard for other clubs except they used the owners own money to over inflate the income to allow them to spend more and stick within the rules.

And yet oddly enough his main target is a centre half. 😳👍

Wasn’t it just the top two going into Europe back then ? We came 2nd and into the UEFA Cup after coming back into Europe after serving the extra year ban - the season before we won the league but didn’t play in the EC and Villa went into the UEFA Cup for coming secondb
It waa the top 2 back then correct, but back then that excluded Liverpool as they had an extended club ban. Durng that season, 3rd was enough as long as Liverpool finished above us but then Uefa lifted the ban on Liverpool in europe in the week of the 17th April ( havnt got the exact date).

It was a huge kick in the teeth and there is a strong belief in SE London that our Chairman took a compensation payment to go 'quietly' and accept this decision despite it being a few weeks before the end of the season.

Bitter....yep?! 😉

Just watched Soccer Aid. Felt Rest of the World were odds on when I saw they had Usain Bolt running down the wing, whilst Engand had Alex Brooker
Also, Nani and Keane were happy to ignore the celebs and just try to win. Defoe and Wilshire seemed to be playing more in the spirit of the event and involving their non-footballing teammates.

That’s nothing £200 mil won’t solve!
