because opens don't just happen like that ... And nobody would want to travel the world playing a single tour.

Unlike the new Turkish Open which is just going to happen next year. I think you'll find especially in the Middle east they can make an Open happen very easily and quickily. From F1 being green lighted in Bahrain to the first race was 3 years. They already have the courses out there and could easily get done in a year.

As for not wanting to travel the world you do March-September Europe, October-December Middle East, January-March Asia. Not much travelling not advocating going backwards between Europe and Asia every week.

Sorry meant majors not opens.
Agreed but it could be done build up to it with a few more comps on the courses in say Dubai and in 3 years you could have a fully functional Major. The infrastructure is already there same with the clubs in Asia. these are big markets that Europe needs to tap before the American Market cottons on as does because if that happens it really will be the death toll for the tour.

why bring the tour to england

Spectators.... Sponsors love 'em... Back in the day when I used to attend events at Wentworth, Woburn, Walton Heath, Sunningdale and even Moor Park they were always well attended... I only spectated at one golf tournament this year [at Woburn] a 'low key' seniors event and there were far more spectators lining the fairways than could be seen at the much touted World Final in Turkey...

Sometimes when things start going 'wrong' the best solution can be going back to your roots...

why do you think this comp was played in turkey, could it be they put the cash up for it,the weather or to grow the game in this area, golf is not a new game in turkey but it has the same class attitude that we had 30 years ago,and i would sooner play and watch with a bit of sun on my back as opposed to the weather we have had this year.

Hmmm, not sure I would agree with anything like that. Staging a tournament for a few years then calling it a Major just wont happen. It devalues the term major in my eyes.

why did the tournaments go away from England? Surely because of lack of sponsorship? If the crowds were there then why did nobody want to stage an English masters, or the like?
