The Danger of Mixing Beer and Ebay

Had a bit of a shock this morning when the postman arrived. Seems that in an inebriated state following my Brother's birthday on Sunday I managed to buy a Mactec NVG2 fairway wood on ebay. Having done some checking it appears that I bought it for a bargain price (£42.00) but have little recollection of the transaction. Luckily I had just sold a load of stuff so had a bit of cash in the Paypal account.

As a warning to all, put the laptop away when the beer and vino start flowing.

P.S Anyone got any opinions on the club as not had a chance to try it yet.

Spent £380 this month already on golf gear

I have stopped smoking and used the cash for new gear, also I may or may not have taken an advance on it

Bought a full set (3-PW) of Adams A3OS Hybrid irons from the Direct Golf clearance on Saturday for £25 - ex-demo and last years model with graphite shafts; bargain in anybodies book I think .

NVG2 fairway....tasty....not bad for £42.

I bought a driver for £140......with the Mrs sat next to me, after a few Czech beers.....so you're not alone!!!

Then again, I thought you were budgeting!!!

My ebay days are over, since the 20 day turn around on my G5.

You can get some deals on there, some people though are daft. My mate buys stuff from Play.com and then marks it up by 10-20% and sells it on Ebay and people buy, they dont bother to shop around they just think its cheap because its Ebay.

Also you can get rare stuff you wouldnt find in AG or your pro shop like I got an Srixon cap magnet/ball marker from Japan which isn't for sale over here.

i just ordered 50 ad333's for £32 including p+p. Bargain in my eyes, pearl grade too. Will let you know if they are as good as they say when they come.

I am budgeting hence the purchase may well not have been made if I was sober enough to remember doing it. Luckily I had flogged off a few bits and pieces recently to get in some 'fun' money for the next month or so and appear to have dipped into that.

In any event, have an interview with another firm next Tuesday so it is possible that the economising could be over quicker if that goes well.

Sadly not being able to drink anymore the problem doesn't exist for me. Good job too cos the shopping list of "wants" is growing
