Have you ever purchased a club after watching a tour pro make it look easy with said club and did it work for you??

Seeing Luke hole out today and hearing David Howell say he'd recently "bought" the same putter to try got me to thinking - and checking out the Odyssey White Hot #7 :mmm:

im pretty sure luke has updated his in last couple of years im still on the 1 he used to use #7 fang, im sure the 1 he is on now is the new white ice fang

He use the white ice #7, I have the white hot (cheaper version) and have had it about 18 months, I like the balance on it more than anything.

Surprised Howell is looking at it as he was one of the best putters around.

i.i.r.c. Sergio used a Monza Corsa for a while.....certainly not a good reason why I bought one.

I got the Odyssey i black series. The one that RRP at £200. Cos lefthanded golf had them on offer for £90. Would have to have been an idiot to pay £200 for a putter. Liked it the first time I used it many moons ago but would not play that. Would I buy what a tour player uses. No they can hit them. Most likely I cant!

My mate bought a Callaway Razr driver and cant hit it anywhere near the 310yrds average that Alvaro Quiros hits his!!

i supopse this is the whole and main reason tour players get sponsored to play said clubs.

i was actually thinking about this previously and wondered myself how many people actually went out and bought drivers,3 woods etc because they seen certain players playing them.

i personally haven't,i have considered it though but lack of money being the major factor in not doing it.
