The car you passed your test in...

Vauxhall Viva the instructors car.

The clutch in it was awful (I had driven for years before taking a test and new what a good clutch was like)

I semi stalled on the hill start, turned round to the examiner and said " that was awful , can I do it again" "yes" he said and passed.

My first test was in 'coke bottle' Cortina, I had never had lessons, having driven for years and failed miserably. It made me go to a driving school and learn how to pass a driving test.

A Vauxhall Viva. I worked for BT in the 70’s, and they paid for a 2 week driving course with a test at the end of it. I’d had my full bike licence for a couple of years by then, and had ridden on a provisional for a couple of years before then. For me it was about learning to drive a car. My roadcraft was already ingrained.
Exactly the same with the Post Office.

Mum’s red 1994 Ford Fiesta with a 1.8L normally aspirated diesel engine and no power steering.

0 - 60 took about 20 seconds. The engine was so heavy that you could barely turn it at low speeds.

Loved that tank.

Can't remember what the car was. It was in Banbury in 1980, and I remember rolling backwards on my hill start as I hadn't put it in gear !
Still passed - it was my second test.
