Well, It's fair to say that buzz is upon me!

First round of the season is booked at my new club (Swanston) on Sunday. There is a medal on so have to take a later time of 1pm as I'm just going round with a friend to get back into the swing of things.

Been at the range the past few nights and went again today after work (just back as I type this). Was hitting my 7i and PW great, especially the 7! Was consistently hitting a green around the 135 mark, but I was also getting inside 1 putt territory, all this was done with my dads old Wilson Blue Ridge blades.

Managed to reduce the slice on my driver but had to composate distance to achieve this, but I'm hitting my 22° hybrid straight and to the same distance as my driver, so shall be using this from an extremely low tee.

Demo'd the Nike MachSpeed set, I was gaining 15+ yards and was high and straight 9/10 times! The club just felt right, from the length to the weight just all round better than the old mans blue ridge blades!

So I'm now a couple 100's light in the bank account but have myself a set of irons that I feel confident with attack pins!

Looking forward to sunday is an understatement!! Anyway, just thought I'd share my joy with you guys.

Definitely have it bad to say the least, always loved golf but now I know I'm a member I just want to get out there haha!

Just cleaned out my bag of rubbish from last year (juice bottles galore!) and found my last scorecard of Craigentinny Golf Course (Edinburgh Leisure Council Course) and I am shocked as it was a pretty good round for my standards! Gave myself an 18HC and scored a Net 71 on a Par 67 course. My total was 89 with two 7's on the card, was pretty pleased when I pulled that out the bag earlier on.

First competition in 2012 that will be a qualifier and so looking forward to it even though conditions will be bad. Think it sets the start of the season off and hoping it'll be a good one
