That's it - the spending is done.

I'm considering a new Driver and 3W although at the minute the driver I have is generally behaving so in no panic. Also want to get 3 matching wedges in future but probably be another year before I do that.

A month ago I was at complete peace with my bag. I didn't need anything at all. Since then I've bought a new(old) set of irons and a set of vokey wedges. The moral being- never admit to being happy with your bag. It'll only come back to haunt you.

Complete set of irons, hybrids and woods are on the shopping list for next year, hoping to be in the bag for the start of the season in April.
The bag and trolley are safe.

More than happy with my bag of clubs and very little if any chance of any changes.

On the point about setting a target for getting new clubs, nothing wrong with that. I prom myself a forged set of irons when i got to 10. managed to get from 24 in 2006 to 10 with a set of MX17. Though in saying that i did struggle once i was there for a couple of years;)

With the news that my in-laws have got me a new cart bag, which was next (and last) on my list of changes that is me now content with what I have.
Sure there will be a few who laugh at that but this year has been one of change for my bag a few times as I tried to find kit that would move my game on and there have been a few changes through the year. And indeed that was my intention for 2012, to analyse where improvement can be made.
To put that in context though at the turn of this year my bag hadn't changed for 4 years. Until I hit a rut of hanging around 12.2 to 12.8 - a change of kit brought me a cut to 11 so was justified enough.
Despite what this year has been like I am not a serial tinkerer and now see my bag as complete for a good while yet - another 4 years? Maybe not but it won't be far off.

So to the point of the thread, with exception of balls, tees and general consumables, that's my spending done on kit. Which will allow me to play more courses next year.

How is everyone else feeling about their bag as we near the year end and the beckon of a new season on the horizon?

Bought a nearly new R11 cart bag from Homer, other than that no real NEED to change, however !!!

The man makes an excellent point.

At the start of this year I had a bag full of TM gear with absolutley no plans to change

My handicap has gone in the right direction so a change that worked for the better

I'm in the same place as you. I'm not a massive kit changer but with the tweaks made to the top end of my bag, some lessons and a couple of eureka moments I'm happy with my lot. Just need to get in bucket loads of practice next year. Heck I've even found my favourite ball :)

Loving my New (this summer) Irons, they are well safe
Ive got an Old TM Rescue Dual TP that I just cant part with either
My 50 & 60 Wedges -- Sorted

Nothing else is Safe......!!

But I am much happier with my R11s driver now Ive settled on a shaft for it

If I decide to play golf again regularly next year then i'll have to have a big think about my gear. I would expect to buy a new set of irons , 2 fairway/hybrids and maybe a couple of new wedges. After that and if I can be bothered I might go for a gps and leccy trolley but both of them are just fluffy stuff and not really needed to play golf.

I can certainly get by with what i've got and dont really need anything but I have got a really old set of irons and a couple of really old woods. I'd prefer to change them but I might just go for the challenge of playing with them full time to see how I get on.

Given that Tiger referred to this thread in the forum pages of the magazine I thought i'd give this a wee bump for Greigs attention, how much have you changed in the 3-4 months since?
