That's it - the spending is done.

Dear Golfing Santa

Not sure about my driver and I am on the 3rd one in as many months so that might have to change.
Putter. hmmmmmmmmmmmm might change that too but will wait for greens you can actually judge yourself on
Balls. Got loads and loads of AD333 but someone recommended DX2 so just ordered a dozen of them to try so might have to go through the ball swapping process on ebay.
Cart, bag, irons and hybrids all new and quite happy with them so no changes until next year at the earliest
Need a Garmin subscription as I just joined another club and will be playing at least 5 opens at various courses later in the year.

Easy pick up Practice ball tubes. Anyone know where to get them reasonably cheap ? Need 3 or 4 of them.

Given that Tiger referred to this thread in the forum pages of the magazine I thought i'd give this a wee bump for Greigs attention, how much have you changed in the 3-4 months since?

Thanks mate :D. Actually not that much. The regular bag is still Encore ZL, JPX825, Burner hybrid, MP53s, 52° & 56° wedges and Rife Aussie.
Only changes really are the VRS Pro 5w and thd FG wedges. Everytjing else is as was.
OK so I have the J36 bats but they are not in place of anything.

Nothing major, just wedges and irons (as an alternative set) and a 5w ;)

I can also confirm thecraws bag has changed a fair bit since Dundonald also

Unsure of he'll make a change before The Dunes though.

My bag is unchanged (OK my hybrid might be creeping back in as a comfort blanket but nothing dropped).... my swing on the other hand..... <deep sigh>

My bag and the latest changes.....

Putter - bought in 1985
Wedges - got a new PW last autumn and a lob wedge in the summer.
Irons - last changed in 2005
hybrids - had them about 3 years
3 wood - had it about 5 years
Driver - same as 3 wood

I rarely change stuff as I can't see the point - it has no effect on your handicap whatsoever. And I don't really get the whole concept of "new shineys" that is often mentioned on the forum. Seems weird to me in fact.

However having said that, I did try and upgrade my irons last year but failed as the three sets I bought were not as good as the X-16 Pros that I have. Only real purchase I have made is on a click-gear trolley which I have to say is superb and excellent value for money.

I have no plans to change anything nor to buy anything new. Mind you, I would like to try a Ping Anser driver at some stage, especially if it had an x stiff aftermarket shaft. Other than that, happy as ever with my equipment, safe in the knowledge that it is me that his the shots, not the clubs.

Snelly old chap you totally understand the concept of new shineys...you just apply it to a different sport

PS do I now need to add Greig to the 'angry with Tiger' list along with Gibbo??? ;)

Ah no! I used to be like that but now I have evolved and also found the squash racket for me so haven't changed for nearly 7 months. Apart from breakages of course!

Just leaving the office now for a match at Chichester rackets. Top club!

And knew the score they did, out they went eh

Ping G20 driver - oot! - Ping i20 driver - welcome onboard buddy!
Ping Rapture V2 3 wood - oot! - Ping Anser 3 wood nestle in your new home!
Adams Hybrids - oot! - Ping G25 Hybrids, make my bag your home!
TM Ghost Spider - oot! - Ping Anser Milled 5, get in there!

I think thecraw has spent enough. IF and I mean IF I were to pick up a bit of two's money or sweep money or even a voucher or two I'd certainly consider upgrading my wedges to the new Gorge grooves.

I'm in two minds still with my bag.

Stuck with my G20's all year but hit a couple of Mizzy's recently and really liked them. RBZ 3w is a done deal and my next purchase will be a R11s Driver. Can't see me changing my putter so the big thing for me is, do I change my irons...

Well, what a few months can do!

The RBZ has gone and still no driver, in fact, I'm TM free!

Had a strong 3w+ 17* off Gibbo and liked it that much, more so the shaft, that I've now got the matching strong 5w+ 17*.

Just received a Ping 19* Hybrid off Richart to fill the gap and that will get a run in tomorrow mornings sweep.

The putter is now the only thing that will either be refurbed or replaced or both!

I'm now 98% Ping ;)

Very happy with my bag apart from the driver, but then I'm needing to practice more as I've struggled all year with a few drivers

Given the "as new" condition of my irons and how well I'm getting on with my 3 wood and hybrid I don't see much change next year never mind the near future

Nike Machspeed driver w/ voodoo stiff out - RBZ w/R11 TP matrix hd6 in
Nike Machspeed 3 wood w/ axivcore stiff out - R11 TP w/motore f3 in
Nike Machspeed 3hybrid w/ axivcore stiff out - RBZ w/ matrix ozik in
Wilson wedges out - TM RAC zTP wedges in
MD Killarney putter out - TM MA_81 Ghost Tour

Only thing to stay the same are the irons but if money was available I'd be considering some R11s or TPCBs

Wow 7 months!!! By your squash standards that's impressive :) have a good match mate

I think you can agree thats fairly minor, in the grand scheme of things... ;)

Minor maybe given its not a complete change I'll give you but I'll refer you to the thread title and the changes made and this has been through the close season when rarely hitting a ball.

Even you will admit its quite funny.
