Just want to say thanks to Crawford for organising a great weekends golf at Machrihanish, oh and well done GCD winning a 4ball at the Dunes course despite moaning about the walking between holes all weekend , was bad for his arthritic hips apparently lol.

Was some great golf on show and round of the day apart from mine of course had to be young Andy the assistant pro, shot 71 despite being locked our his room most of the night as it was busy :o and finding the beach on the first.

I'm in the process of doing the report and pictures will follow ASAP, however I have two little monsters in tow today and they don't like doing what daddy tells them.

A report will be posted ASAP.

I've managed to upload all the Machrihanish Dunes Photographs onto Photobucket and I'll transfer them onto here later. I just need to get the Machrihanish ones done as well.

Just about to put my little girl down for an afternoon nap.

Cheers guys.

"Piss-up" and "Brewery" are just two words i could use to describe the craw-organised Machrihanish 2011 golf outing...

"Piss-up" would accurately describe the events of Saturday evening and "Brewery" perfectly sums up the smell of the assembled crowd as we waited on the first tee on Sunday morning to tee off!

Quite simply, this was a great weekend. Beautiful weather, great company, quality banter and some (patches of) good golf.

SATURDAY

Machrihanish Dunes on saturday was definitely a Marmite track but one thing was undeniable...it is feckin' long! For those interested in facts / figures etc, the total walking distance was in the region of 9000 - 10,000 yards and some groups took almost 5 & 1/2 hours to get round! A tough track with many nice features but too many blind shots for me. All in we got coffee and bacon rolls, dinner, bag-tags, strokesavers, pencils, bottled water, more tees than Grumps could carry etc and an epic round of golf, all for £50 - great value.

Here's a few pics from Saturday

SATURDAY NIGHT ... DELETED SCENE

SUNDAY

Sunday morning saw more glorious weather for golf. Bright skies, little wind and more sunshine, if a little cooler than Saturday. First tee nerves abounded as 32 hungover golfers crowded around the 1st tee in anticipation of the first diddy to drive it onto the beach (young Andy). Some more cracking golf (played sporadically), great banter and a truly fantastic links masterpiece soon had us all forgetting about alcohol...well almost all of us.

Cheers to Andy, Paul and Toad for the company on Saturday and Graeme, John and Callum for the game on Sunday. Thanks to everyone else for the banter and last, but my no means least, thanks to Crawford for organising the whole she-bang! Top quality weekend and i’m already looking forward to next year!
