Comp tomorrow is a Texas scramble, but I believe a couple of teams may be 3 players rather than 4 as a result of dropouts.

4 drives from each player, 10% of combined handicap. How would you level for those teams of three? 5 drives each to maintain pressure element? 1 of them can play twice for each of the second shots to give same number of attempts? 1 extra putt per green? Not at all, it's tough?

The latter is harsh as they will each have paid the same entry fee, and they shouldn't be denied a chance to win prizes.

Interested in your thoughts.

The only difference would be 5 tee shots each. Everything else remains the same.

You can't have one player taking the same shot twice. This helps them too much. The first one would become a practice shot.
