Test balls

Are test balls usually the finished article or are small tweaks usually made before they go into production

I guess they are good to go unless final stage feedback highlights serious flaws.

Could as good as the real thing, or could quite a way from them .... only the manufacturer will know and they won't tell you.

Even if they are identical to the real thing if they have TEST written on them then they aren't legal for competition play (at least according to the Titleist material)

I've found a couple of test balls this summer,might give them to a friend to try out
