Teeing off without a Tee

I've never had a bad lie when using a tee, and am almost guaranteed never to do so in the future.
So I will stick to using a tee.
Also post #13, I've never changed my swing because I'm using a tee (for an iron), why would you, you're trying to hit the same shot as if it were off the deck. Just from a slightly elevated position, so you're more likely to hit the sweet spot.

when not using a tee you are unlikely to put the ball on a bad lie either!


off a tee its easier to hit the ball higher! most times though I am happier just to hit it off the ground!

4 wood on the tee box ground, teeing it up is ok but the clubs designed to be hitting balls from the deck and it's a beautiful sound

OK your going to have to explain your post to me there, I just wrote down roughly where I think I tee the ball. I guess I would be classed as a "High" teeing golfer compared to those who jam their tee deep into the ground.

TBH tee or no tee, high or low, do whatever gives you the advantage, mentally or otherwise.

I always use a tee. Why not give yourself a perfect lie every time. It isn't the ball on the tee affecting the shot

As I posted, I'm with Jack. Given number of irons players hitting at open today, can anyone comment on ratio of those who found a decent lie on tee versus tee it up used by pros. I'll wager latter dominated and they earn a livelihood, so for amateur not to follow is just loading odds against you further.

Well its 3cm from the ground, not from the grass top, I do tee it pretty high tbh but it works for me and I am a pretty solid iron player off the tee.
