Has anyone played in Tee Tours events? I played in one at The Gog last week and it was very good. Played with some really nice folk, it was well organised and a decent price too.

I'm usually wary of commercially run events, but this was really good.

Its worth checking out the schedule and if the price is right, book it! I'd go again without hesitation.

( and no, I have no commercial connection)

We played in a lot of "Bish's" events in the early days and did 3 trips away with him.
Most are around the Midlands so we've done the circuit so to speak ,but he runs them really well with a wicked sense of humour and doesn't suffer fools lightly

Had an enjoyable time at Brocton Hall, very nice course but unusual in a few ways.

We played from the yellow tees and while the total yardage wasn't excessive at 5,789 yards, the par was 69.

There were only three par 3s and no par 5s.
Five of the par 4s were under 300 yards and five of them were over 400 yards, two of those were 450+, that makes it difficult when your technology is over 50 years old!

The greens had plenty of slopes and many of them were raised which also added to the challenge.

I'd certainly play it again.

Played there a couple of months ago and enjoyed the course after getting soaked for the first four holes. It was an open and included was a roast beef dinner and lemon tart so they looked after us well. Well worth a visit.
