Really gutted that I just recieved a RBZ tour driver from golf bidder and when removing it from the box I could hear a rattle. On closer inspection the rattle is in the head. So am sure golf bidder will refund when I speak to them in the morning. I really like the look of the club but seeing that the club has not be on the market that long surely it shouldn't yet if ever rattle.i want to order another RBZ but abit put off by the build quality from TM. Anyone else had a problem with there RBZ

Might simply be a bit of glue or at worse a weight has worked lose.

If you really like it take it to any authorised TM stockist and ask them to return it, TM will either fix it or just instruct the retailer to give you a new one.

My mate got a 2 year old R11 upgraded to an R11S FOC due to a rattle.

Been on the Taylormade website and they say return any faulty equipment to any TM retailer how ever I need proof of purchase ie receipt which I don't have as got it from golf bidder. Wound be great if I could get a new replacement. Will send Taylormade a email and see what they have to say

Try taking the head off the shaft, and then see which component has the rattle.

I had this problem with a Cobra Driver a few years back and was told by somebody it was hard glue that had come loose and the fix was to submerge the base of the driver in warm water for a few minutes, take the club out of the water and leave it standing for half an hour.Would you believe it did the trick and the head was rattle free.Apparently the glue softens up and re sticks its self inside the head.

Try takie rattle isng the head off the shaft, and then see which component has the rattle.
In my OP i stated that the rattle was in the head I took head off shaft and rattle is in head. If I tip club head side to side something is rattling around in there

Quality has nothing to do with it, I think in my time I've seen/heard head rattle from pretty much every major manufacturer in existence.

Simple fix is to heat the bottom of the head to melt the glue again.

Have tried putting club in boiling water for 20 mins then removing but rattle still there. Don't want to put blow torch to it just yet as waiting for response from golf bidder

Contact a local TM retailer, I'm confident they will return it for you.

Almost certainly a piece of epoxy that has broken loose inside the head.I had the same problem with my own driver,at first i was convinced it was a piece of metal as it was so loud, but it turned out to be glue.
I'd be reluctant to try and repair it before speaking to Golfbidder.

I also wouldn't use a blow torch as that can and will scorch the paintwork on the club if your not careful.

If anything I'd use a heat gun but I'm dubious that it would actually work!

MY Dad purchased a RBZ driver in March 1st round using it no problems until the 14th tees when is started to rattle. 2nd round the rattle disappeared.

Why this happes who knows but I wouldn't be happy with this from a top end driver.

I have the exact same problem, my GF bought be a RBZ driver for Xmas and it started rattling as soon as i hit it. The noise obviously doesn’t affect the performance of the driver but it is very annoying. I stupidly threw the receipt away and I am not sure what to do about it?

I mentioned the rattle to a pro I have lessons off in another local driving range shop and he said he will contact TM for me and hopefully get it sorted out in the New Year.

I might be in the same situation as yourself as I have no proof of purchase and I do not feel confident going back to the shop it was originally bought from to seek a refund (see thread on problems with Golf Depot in Chester)

How did you get on with Golfbidder ? Any update on the matter?

Golf bidder were great no problem with giving me a full refund as they never has another to replace it with.I wouldnt worry about going back to any shop to sort problem out . how did the GF pay for it.if on a card a bank statement will prove that .if not take your GF with you im sure they will remember her as not many women buy mens club i would say.

Yeah read the thread on Golf Depot in Chester and you will see the reason why i dont wanna go back to the shop it was bought from !

Thats a very good point tho about proof or purchase but it was paid for in cash i think !

I have managed to convince another local pro shop (where i take lessons) to send it back to TM for me but the rattle is intermittent so i have a feeling it will stop rattling as soon as it gets in TM hands !

I cant even sell it on ebay without stating the head rattles ! Dont know what to do with it
