Taylormade Qi35 driver

I don't get the issue over pricing.

Everything is too expensive, but no one is forcing anyone to buy anything.

I play with guys who have thousands in their bag and those who have had the same clubs for years.
The point is they are extracting the urine now. It's going to be about £600 over here I'm guessing. I guess they wouldn't price it like that if it didn't sell, I wonder at what price people will say enough is enough, I know I'm at that point now.

I might change my driver this year but I know I won't be paying full price for one. I can afford it if I want it but I'm just not seeing the value for money in a brand new one. I'll just get one from Callaway PreOwned or GCFC as I'm not that fussed about being fitted for one that might knock a shot off my handicap if I'm lucky. One of the lads I play with now and again got fitted with a fancy Ventus shaft for £850 in total and still knocks it OOB and his handicap is still in the 2.5-3.5 region as it was with his old driver.

Not watched any reviews
But, taylormade website has the specs for all of the Qi35 models at same length of 45.75"....🤔

The shaft is the same length but the max has a shorter hosel resulting in a shorter overall length.

So if QI10 was the quest for 10,000 MOI, they must have absolutely smashed it out of the park this time? 35,000! 😲

If you watched the video before the assumption, the MOI s reduced to 9k due to a COG blunder on the QI10

I was joking anyway (clearly), I did not think they had reached 35,000 inertia. Just for avoidance of doubt.

I am not challenging pricing isn't getting silly, but the comments, I'll stick with my old one type comments etc.

I buy something every week 🤣 so someone should be getting a good used bargain, but a £600 driver is still £500 at GCFC for quite some time.

That said, I bought a set of MP-32 (8 irons) for £120 and I am happy as a pig in sh1t.

Why did you buy a whole set of 8 irons?

I've put together a set for travelling abroad - wanted to cut out the hassle and worry of damage, or save long term hiring random clubs.

They came as a 3-PW set, just need to regrip them.

Wanted irons I can still play well with, but at the lowest cost, so with these and spare woods, wedges and a putter I already had, I am sorted.

WOOSH!!!! :ROFLMAO:

MyGolfSpy trying to big them up, I wonder how my TM paid for the review.

I see Crossfield hasn't released a review yet, I'm guessing he's still on the TM naughty list since he keeps saying the new one is just like the old ones with no significant benefit.
I wouldnt be sure thats a thing really. I think the reviewers have scope to call it as they see it. There is more or less comprehensive approval for the Taylormade, yet lots raising warning of problems with the Callaway. So they dont seem restricted in criticising when they think a club merits it. Another year it could be the other way around. I think the Stealth 2 got quite a few thumbs down.

new drivers used to be all about distance but now they seem to have really peaked with how far they can get them to go, its now all about keeping in on the fairway which is more realistic to me... that said im sticking with my G425 now that i've got used to the noise it makes

I've not long had a PXG Black Ops and I do rather like it but it's new driver season and I will keep having my head turned. However, when I look at the numbers when people say "this one goes further" it's by, like, a yard. I'd be better off learning to hit the middle of mine and working on my swing at this point.

Well...the comparison videos are coming out and Bunkered, Golfshake and James Robinson all found 4/5ths of bugger all between the 2.....I couldn't be bothered to watch any more....
So what are these problems with the Callaway...apart from the looks ( some like one, some like the other) which are completely subjective and don't affect performance...?
