Hi, 1st time user.

I bought a Taylormade burner 09 driver 18 months ago from American Golf. Monday I sent it to sell to Golfbidder who then contacted me today and told me they think its a fake!! As you can imagine I was not happy. Luckily I still have the original receipt and sent them a copy. They are now sending it to Taylormade to have it verified.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? And maybe the steps I should take if it turns out to be a fake?

Cheers, Dino

if it turns out to be a fake then it sounds like your lucky day - take it back to AG with the reciept and you should get your money back.

easy.

I've heard of a case where a SH club was purchased (R7 Superquad) that was subsequently believed to be a fake, but never a new one; AG's supply chain will be well documented so it's unlikely (I always avoid the word impossible)

TaylorMade will probably contact AG themselves to start an investigation into whats happened! If AG have sold you a fake I'd be amazed (even 2nd) and would think they'll be pretty quick to investigate and then arm you with a new one/refund your cash if they have!

No Darth, I got it discounted as part of buying the set of TM Burner irons

in that case I'd think golfbidder might be mistaken, unlikely AG would buy in a fake as they bulk buy new. Interesting to see the outcome though.

P.S welcome to the forum

Thanks Darth, appreciate it! Will be on here a lot for tips etc 24HC and looking to improve.......a lot!!!

Hello and welcome. You'll find lots of help and opinion on here enjoy!

Sure you'll get a swift acceptable outcome all reputable companies and have no doubt they will sort you out shortly

Hi and welcome.

If AG have sold you a fake club (chances are slim) but i'm sure you could use this as a bargaining tool for discount or maybe a freebie from AG as it won't look good for them.

personally i wouldnt be sending any clubs to GB as i think they give you crap money for the clubs you sned back sent them some irons before they offered me 80quid

i took them to my pro for part ex he gave me 200 for them

if your buying clubs off them they give you great customer service and fast delivery

Golfbidder are red hot on sussing out fakes.I have sent 4 clubs to them and in their opinion only the last one I sent was real (TM Burner driver ).Another company took the so called fakes off me without a problem.
unless you already knew the three were fakes when you sent them to GB, then I can't see how you can declare them "red hot".
