taylor made xft

What a load of tosh. Not spending my wonga on that stuff. Can't see a tour pro, who gets free wedges anyway, bothering to change the face 4 times a year.

I prefer the look of the Vokey V60, but not the cost ($250). Very stealthy, black nickel head, black nickel shaft. And only 250 of them to be made. Mmmm, nice.

How much are the new faces going to cost? If they recommend we change 1 face per year then the cost of a face need to be well below the cost of a new wedge. And what if the screws fail during a round - you're buggered then...

Taylor Made are taking the mick and will soon have no reputation left.

I watched the rip-off of the century the other day LIVE as an "xx" rep sold an R9 to a hacker. The bloke was so utterly rubbish that to sell him a club with moveable weights to "improve" control of his direction ranks as the single most disgusting piece of mis-selling I have ever encountered.

Fools and their money are easily parted.

I don't seriously consider this will ever come to the marketplace. There simply isn't the demand to justify the costs of production, advertising etc. Lets face it Joe Golfer isn't interested in chipping and putting to improve but wants the biggest, meanest Big Dog in the shop. It will never catch on as there is simply no need to change the face that often. If tour players keep the same wedges for years without a problem then they won't change. If they don't nor will the ordinary public.

I reckon this and the 5 piece ball thread are nothing more than wind ups to get everyone talking.

5 piece ball.....now, you're talking.

gimme, gimme, gimme

(a ball on the first tee)....

there must be a song in there somewhere.

because Harrington does?
I'm sure I heard that he replaces his wedges at the start of each comp so that they are as sharp as he can get; but then, it costs him nothing so why would a pro change to this?
A wannabe might go for it simply because it 'should' be cheaper than a new set of Vokeys two or three times a season.

Th epenta is currently on sale in the states, will be available from earlt December here,so thats not a wind up,as for the wedges they are going into production, should be on the shelver for next season,so i guess thats not a wind up either.

If the balls rally are coming out I'd hit a sleeve to try them out although I doubt my game is good enough to do them any justice or get any benefit. The wedges are the devils work and should be struck off the production line right now.

Are amateurs really going to fork out and by new faces every year? That seems that TM are pushing the golden goose way too far now.
