anyone else not enjoying that div david fehertys patter. its definetley cringeworthy. plus i hope he doesnt walk on the greens they will need a jcb to repair his foot marks :D

Total and utter knob......when he was driving up to the green in the convertible Audi with the radio turned up, it has to be the most cringeworthy thing I have seen in a long time.....apart from Poulters Smurf Blue shoes of course!! :o

Think its alot of cr@p myself these guys make enough money without the stupid money the make there .Some of the prizes over the years have been something else speedboats for each member, winning money for the longest drive's IMO a total joke.

Farcical. A jolly good pro's day outing with lot's of money and freebies to boot and I have to agree about Fehrety what a plonker.

He seems to be the only one who thinks he's funny. I think Ian Poulter would happily deck him.

I'd subscribe to Ian Poulter's twittering if he did this, and claim him (Ian) as the only alternative to Tiger.
In fact, I'd like to see a new angle to golf-ertainment, some sideline stories of bust ups and fights in the locker room.
Ian can take out anyone he likes, especially if they're American. :) :)

Just enjoy it for the golf viewing that it is. Would you rather be watching Corrie or Eastenders? I think not.

Their Pro's. They are going to be getting gifts and freebies left, right and centre regardless if an event is televised or not. They get it all the time during a regular event just the coverage doesn't mention it.

I had a chuckle last night when Holmes and O'Hern had both picked up their balls without either holing out - clueless on what they were meant to do.

I thought it was McCord doing the antics in the Audi?

Feherty is a star, very funny man with a razor wit. I for one really like his commentary and interviews.

Might go a bit over the top occassionally but so what. Golf needs characters and he's one.

Some of his stuff can be funny, but he often tries too hard.

See he's become a naturalized American.
When discussing perhaps it will be a bit difficult at the Ryder cup it was pointed out that he has taken an allegiance to the Stars and Stripes.

Perhaps his humour is becoming naturalized as well

The winner of the longest drive won money for his whole team! Unbelievable. Those guys really do have one of the best jobs in the World.

Get a card on the PGA Tour and let people throw money at you.

I know it takes a lot of hard work to get there but that can be said for a lot of jobs that have nowehere near the reards they get.

Jealous, me? You bet!

Loved it, never seen JB Holmes move so fast!

What was the outcome, the TV covereage said a one shot penalty, but Mark Roe in the studio said it should have been a 2 shot penalty.

1 shot penalty, putt taken for a total of 6.

I noticed that Holmes has reduced his pre-shot routine to two practice swings and no shuffling to the ball ....

I thought most of the prize money actually went to charity but on reading their site, perhaps not. It seems that $1 million was donated by the players in addition to donations by the organisers but that seems to be a recent thing, having started only last year according to this page.
