I see you have another video up there, October 2015- swing after only playing for 4 months.

So you have been playing roughly 10months?

How did you get you H'Cap down so quickly? No doubt natural ability, but are you playing a lot, taken lots of lessons?

I only ask as I am playing a year next month, and in competitive play I bobble around in the 90s. If I am on my own I tend to hit my bad shots again, i.e. didn't like that one, ill drop and go again and see what could have been. When I do that I can play very close to par. Just wondering how I can get my consistency to get the H'Cap to drop.

I have played a little bit previously but never had a handicap. Joined Wakefield at the end of last summer and first handicap was 14 at Christmas it was chopped to 11 and this summer I can see me being in the 5-7 region with the continued hardwork on the practice ground.

Honestly it is just general hardwork through the back end of the summer and a few lessons here and there. I watch a fair bit on youtube (mark crossfield and rick shiels and peter finch to name a few) and they have helped a lot.

I have been custom fit on the clubs now and that has helped massively. In all honesty it is hitting balls on the practice ground and putting. Practice from 100 yards in as that is where all the shots are gained and lost. This is where I have done really well this winter. I hardly ever play a full round as I feel I gain more from going to the practice ground.

When you are playing competitively do you practice beforehand or just turn up and go straight to the tee? I always ensure that I have at least a 30-40 minute session on the practice ground before I play (every Saturday really) this will mean you are ready to go and the body is nice and loose.

Try the callaway Chromesoft I have just moved to that ball and it is superb.

hope all that helps.

That's awesome. Great work.

Other than a few putts and a few swings into the net, no I don't really warm up. Might give that a go.

Likewise, I rarely play a full 18 unless its a match. If I am on my own I like to play 9, tee off then hit 2/3 balls from the same spot on my next couple shots to see how I can do it better, after I see what happens with the 1st ball (if that makes sense).

I have a lesson booked in the morning. To hit 80s would be awesome, but then again I only held a club for the first time in my 26years a year ago this Sunday! 1st May.

Keep up the good work!
