Swearing with astericks

Meh, I can't say I really have a problem with not using bag language and I don't think Chris's bar is set too badly. He is right in what he is saying, rules is rules and all that. I do like a bit of rule bending though, I'm just a rebel like that :D. The spelling police though, they should all be band!!

chris is right , but also should lead by example himself, also agree the spelling police should be treated the same as the swearing people

. Is it really that hard to type a reply to a thread and not use swear words?
This ..... if someone swears or gets abusive, then to me the convo is over there and then , they have lost any discussion that they were having,

Deffo tis , i aint in skool no mor .. & i bet ya still got what i was saying ..

Simple answer here, do we all adhere to the rules of golf? Which at times can be nonsensical but still there to be obeyed? Whether we agree their fairness or not?
Then surely we can all follow the rules of the site whether we agree with them or not?

Fair statement. How do you determine that a sudo-expletive used extensively in Father Ted is fine but another fashioned around a follower if Shia Islam is not? How about the use of colloquial language for urine? I'm relatively new so not able to comment on any possible rule shift for mods or the plus four figure post club, but I would suggest that this site would be a whole lot less enjoyable without the humour the odd racy (note - not offensive) comment generates.

Absolutely agree mate, it's that borderline on humour/offensive that becomes subjective. I have never reported a post on any forum I have ever been on, purely because it's someone's opinion and I don't have to agree with it but not agreeing and being offended are a world apart in my book.
The rules, like in golf, are there to remove the requirement for subjective judgement IMO.

To be honest, most of the time I just go into the post and change the word. Nobody ever notices and nobody gets upset. The only problem is when the post has been quoted by a load of people as it is a pain in the neck changing each one individually.
