Surprise surprise

Assuming price is no issue, then you buy whichever is best. I'm baffled that anyone would stay 'brand loyal' for a golf club.

I am now 'brand loyal' for Mizuno irons because I can't believe how good they are, but when I come to change them, I will test others as well and if they are better, my 'loyalty' will have lasted one set of irons.

You do everything you can to help your game, having some sort of misguided brand loyalty that would hinder that just seems weird to me.

The question wasnt loaded, I was just curious thats all.
I know some people dont like Ping for example and wondered what they would do if Ping turned out to be the winner

I would never know if Ping was better, as I would never hit one in the first place.

Bit of a short sighted attitude that Murph????

That's like saying "I wouldn't drive a Ford because they are crap" when the Ford Focus is probably one of the best cars on the road for it's price.
I never thought I'd see the day when I played with Ping clubs, but at least I gave them a chance.

There's only one problem.....all the heads are taped up so you dont know which one is which.

Presumably all the grips and shafts are taped up too? :D :D

Don't know about everyone else , but the brand of every club in my bag could be determined by looking at the grip alone and most by the shafts.

It might be short sighted, but if I am not happy looking at it, then I would never hit it confidently. Ping is a brand I just don't like.(oddly I do have some Ping trousers, and a couple of shirts, but never their sticks. No one said it had to be logical).
I would never buy a Toyota either. Don't know why. They might be brilliant, but I will never know, and will be quite happy never knowing.

Fair enough

I am not a brand ho as such (as long as my irons are Mizuno I am happy) but as long as it was not Callaway I would buy it, I dont really know why but I hate all things Callaway and would never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever use them.

Ping make the best drivers anyway so Ping would win no matter how you covered them up.
