Supermarket rip-offs

You would expect to pay less per litre/kg etc when buying in bigger sizes.
So many times I see that 200g jar of coffee costs , say, £1.50 per 100g but the 300g size costs £1.60 per 100g - how the hell does that work?
Once I saw a special offer on a kids drink. They were 70p each but you could buy 2 for £1.50...
Another one was bread - £1 each or 3 for £3....

A while back normal sugar was about 85p a bag, so the mrs tried some posh sugar at 90p.

It wasn't on special offer.

Then it went up to £1.99.

Then it went on sale at half price ( 99p ).

Last seen it was £1.39

We've been back on ordinary sugar for quite a while.

But it gets me that they just make up the price as they like. There's no 'this is the price and it'll say here until we have to put it up, in which case it'll go up by the rate of inflation'

It's more 'hmm people seem to be buying this, let's stick the price up to see if they'll pay stupid money for it. No? Ok let's bring the price down, but we'll still increase the price by 30% over what it was in the first place - I'm sure they're stupid enough not to notice'.

Blimmin' Tesco Tosspots

2 litres of Diet Coke... In Tesco... £1.78

Outrageous, I am Frank Leopold.

No surprise there. 6-pack real Coke Sainsbury's £3.06

When I saw this come up on the till, I told her to take them off.

Last time I bought those cans, I paid £1.99 for 6. :(

Doritos Sainbury's £1.89
Doritos "in town" 99p

We have a 99p shop in our local parade and they have pepsi & coke in 2 ltrs for that price . I refuse to pay nearly 2quid for 2lts of soft drink.....mind you , i popped into a garage for a drink last week and it was 99p for a SINGLE can of diet coke !!!
