Sunglasses Recommendations

seriously ,you blokes waste over a ton on a pair of sunglasses ,if mine cost more than a fiver i feel im being ripped off. and they are polarized.

If I am going with the whole "all the gear no idea" theme I need to be wearing expensive sunglasses when I am duck hooking drives into the trees!:)

I have a pair of oakley juilet glasses that cost £320. I've had them 9 years. In that time i've sat on them a hundred times, wiped out big style whilst skiing a hundred times and even face planted a tree whilst rock climbing. Still as good today as the day i bought them. Also just found out that as mine are the limited addition x metal ones they're worth £400 today.

And as for other glasses being polarized. Just because they're polarised doesn't mean they're good. When i go fishing i can see the lakebed with my polarised glasses. My friends cheapo polarised glass just don't measure up
The only downside is with oakley is you only have to breathe on their lenses and they scratch

Any shop that sells sunglasses. Go in look around, if you like them buy the ones you like. Price range? £5 to over £200! You don't need to ask people what to get, get what YOU like.
As you are looking for suggestions though try sundog they have a great selection of sunglasses. Think they're an eBay company.

I use my x metal Juliets for mountain biking. I have had a few issues where something less sturdy would have resulted in eye loss. Nothing else comes close in my view. I bought them in new Zealand 15 years ago, and they are still awesome.

I think that all often people assume you have bought something just because of the name, or everyone is buying them. I have said I use Oakleys, and that is also because of the protection they gave when wearing M-frames mountain biking.
You may think the advert is all sales patter, but they work and do exactly what the tin says.:)

Oakley Half Jacket - had mine for 6 years now. Small ship in one lens where I dropped them on some gravel. Will look into their aftersales as mentioned above - £40 replacement lens sounds not too bad.

I actually have a set of half jackets im looking to sell, white with 3 sets of XLJ lenses non polarised and the hard shell case containing the lot.

Conscious these are not golf specific so I can't stick them up here for sale but drop me a PM if of interest.

PM'd you mate

Prizm are not golf specific lenses. Most oakley glasses are available with prizm. They are saying they're best suited to bike riding. i personally own 2 sets of prizm lenses and they are no different from polarised lenses

There are different Prizm lenses. One is optimised fro cycling, and one for golf (not sure if there are others)
