No, but they act as a warning to other drivers. Will these clothes be safe to drive in?

My reply came across a bit harshly, it wasn't meant to be. My point was, the modern clothing market is predominantly served by cheap Chinese factories. They are nameless and faceless but it is the same across most fields in terms of clothing. Golf is not on its own in relying on those factories. I don't like it, in fact I think it is both wrong and sad, but it is what it is right now. Imagine an ethical sports brand? It would be interesting if someone tried that. There is one important fact, or question, that hardly ever seems to comes up in discussion about golf stuff.
Where is the factory makes it and who owns that factory?
I would like to see this expressed by more people and perhaps more harshly as well.My reply came across a bit harshly, it wasn't meant to be. If the head of Nike, Adidas, Callaway, Taylormade etc ever head hunt me and put me in charge, one of my first actions will be to bring production back over to Europe / America, wherever. Sadly, I don't think I am likely to get that call

Unfortunately, we are not given that option. Rarely anyway. If people want to see them being built or made in your home country etc then they need to be willing to pay the added costs for that
Doesn’t matter where it’s made, cheap labour abroad doesn’t mean cheaper prices to us.Unfortunately, we are not given that option. Rarely anyway.
Absolutely. It is purely about profit, nothing to do with keeping costs low for customers.Doesn’t matter where it’s made, cheap labour abroad doesn’t mean cheaper prices to us.
Look at Ralph Lauren for example.
You could say that about most golf clothing but also clothing in general. Look at the cost of replica football/rugby shirts?Doesn’t matter where it’s made, cheap labour abroad doesn’t mean cheaper prices to us.

You can name them, we name companies on here all of the time. Naming them for this is not advertising as such. It would be good to hear about British companies mfr here. There is a company with a factory in Leicester that manufactures and exports cycling clothing. It is a solely British company.
Can't post a link, because that would be advertising, sorry.
Do they make the fabric? There is a company with a factory in Leicester that manufactures and exports cycling clothing. It is a solely British company.

Not sure. I will ask next time I see a certain chap.Do they make the fabric?
Is it just me who couldn't give a toss where my clothes are made? It doesn't affect me one iota.

Are you seriously saying when you are buying any form of clothing, but golf clothing for argument sake you are standing there questioning the morality of the working conditions of the people who made it????? You admitted historically to having lots of golf clothing so I assume you have come to terms with the questionGuess it will always come down to a moral question and if you are happy with the working conditions of the people that make the clothes or items you wear or use
Out of sight, out of mind!Guess it will always come down to a moral question and if you are happy with the working conditions of the people that make the clothes or items you wear or use
