Summer tees are here!!!

I got to my golf club earlier to find they have put the summer tees back out so out i went on the medal tees.
I didnt play very well to be honest but for some reason i normally play badly on a friday then alot better on saturday and sunday. I gave up after 6 holes as there were 3 old ladies in front of me that refused to let me through and i was waiting 10-15 minutes to tee off at each hole i'm playing saturday and sunday anyway so decided to head off.

i cant wait to get back out tomorrow now as i hate winter mats with a passion.

Is anyone else lucky enough to have changed to summer tees?

We are on proper tees all year round (no mats) so not noticed a difference.

They have proper tees here through the winter, but the whites aren't out at the moment, so the competitions play shorter than in the summer. I think the whites are due back out before the medals start in April.

Proper tees all year round, but pegs are usually further forward during the winter months.

Whites pushed back but yellows are still on winters but only on some holes. New pins,flags and cups though

Yep same here. Although course is drying out nicely.

And I can guarantee that you will start landing in old divots once they are. I haven't landed in one during winter rules!

Oh so very true.
Now I have no problem with someone finding the best lie(within 6"),but a guy I played with put his ball on a worm cast ,when I suggested perhaps he should use a tee he seemed quite offended

Not sure there is anything against it in the rules but I guess it goes against the spirit of the game.

Come on, we all put the ball on the highest tuft you can find within 6"

We've still got mats on the par 3's but we'ver been off the grass all winter on the rest of the course. And apart from when it snowed I've played the course every week of the winter and not been on a temporary green once.

Still a few mats and yellow tees but most of the main greens are up and running I think

We wont have white tees out until April , then they get rid of winter rules too

half a course with one temp green (or should that be hole) and winter tees
